Google Pixel 11 Launch Event: What to Expect

The highly anticipated Made by Google launch event is just around the corner, and the latest teaser video has given us a glimpse of the new devices, including the Google Pixel 11 range of phones and the Pixel Watch 5. The event, which takes place on August 12, will be hosted by South African comedian and writer Trevor Noah, along with a star-studded lineup of guests, including Alex Cooper, Shubman Gill, Ayami Nakajo, and Stephen Curry.

The Google Pixel 11 range is expected to include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, with the latter two featuring a new colourway called Dune, a bright orange style that is sure to turn heads. The new teaser video shows the hero colourway in more detail than previously, and it’s clear that the Dune colour will be a limited edition option for the Pro and Pro XL models.

In addition to the new colourway, the Google Pixel 11 range is expected to feature a range of upgrades, including a new HiLight notification light, previously known as Pixel Glow, which will be available in blue. The Pixel Watch 5 will also be launched at the event, with a design that is similar to the Pixel Watch 4, but with minor hardware upgrades and new colours.

The event will also feature a range of celebrity guests, including Steph Curry, who is Google‘s Performance Advisor. Curry helped launch the Fitbit Air earlier this year, and his appearance at the event could herald something exciting, possibly a new Fitbit device, such as the Fitbit Sense 3 or the Fitbit Charge 7, or even a Fitbit smart ring.

Other guests at the event will include Pinkpatheress, Peggy Gou, Juju Watkins, Steven Gerrard, and Daniel Durant, making for a diverse and interesting lineup. With the event just around the corner, it’s time to get excited about the latest devices from Google, including the Google Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, as well as the Pixel Watch 5 and possibly some new Fitbit devices.

In comparison to other smartphones on the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Apple iPhone 14, the Google Pixel 11 range is expected to offer a range of unique features, including the new Dune colourway and the HiLight notification light. The Pixel Watch 5 will also be competing with other smartwatches, such as the Apple Watch Series 10 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6.
