Google Pixel 11 Launch Event: What to Expect
The Google Pixel 11 launch event is just around the corner, and with it comes a slew of new devices and features. The event is primarily focused on the Pixel 11 series of phones, which promises to bring significant upgrades to the table. However, with great power comes great cost, and the Pixel 11 series is expected to come with a hefty price tag.
The Pixel 11 series is expected to start at $899 for the base model, with the Pixel 11 Pro starting at $1,099 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL starting at $1,299. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold, on the other hand, is expected to start at $1,899. These prices are significantly higher than their predecessors, but Google is looking to justify the cost with improved features and specs.
New Features and Specs
One of the most significant upgrades to the Pixel 11 series is the improved storage capacity. The base model will now come with at least 256GB of storage, which is a significant bump from the 128GB offered in the previous generation. The Pixel 11 Pro XL, however, will retain its 256GB base storage capacity.
The Pixel 11 series will also feature new color options, including a bright pink option for the regular Pixel 11 and a new version of Obsidian, dubbed ‘Midnight Haze’, which comes in matte black. The Pixel 11 Pro models will feature a hero Dune color with a gold frame.
Another feature that’s generating buzz is the HiLight feature, which is exclusive to the Pro models. However, leaks suggest that the feature may not be as exciting as initially thought, with it simply showing a different color when a favorite contact calls or lights up blue when interacting with Gemini.
Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Tag
The Pixel Watch 5 is also expected to make an appearance at the launch event, but leaked images and specs suggest that it will be nearly identical to its predecessor. The watch will come in a new color option, and there will also be a special edition model featuring a strap designed by Steph Curry.
The Pixel Tag, on the other hand, is a new device that’s expected to be a Bluetooth tracker similar to the Apple AirTag 2. Not much is known about the device, but it’s expected to be a useful tool for Google ecosystem devotees.
Other Devices and Accessories
Finally, Google is expected to launch a new color option for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which will be a dark green color. There’s also a possibility that we may see new Pixelsnap accessories, but there’s been a lack of leaks on that front.
