How to Score a Half-Price Oral-B iO Twin Pack This Prime Day

Why the Oral-B iO Stands Out

Tech Advisor has tested many electric toothbrushes, and the Oral-B iO series consistently ranks at the top. The iO line combines a sleek magnetic drive with a pressure-sensing light ring that guides users to a gentle yet effective clean. Dentists we consulted all agree that the iO delivers superior plaque removal compared with most competitors, making it a favourite for both daily users and dental professionals.

Prime Day pricing pitfalls

Retailers often calculate discounts from the original launch price, which in the UK can be dramatically higher than the everyday price. As a result, the percentage shown on the product page may look impressive while the final price remains close to the normal retail cost. Shoppers should therefore look for deals that are based on the current market price rather than the inflated launch figure, and compare multiple retailers before committing.

Best way to save: twin-pack bundles

The most reliable way to secure a genuine bargain this Prime Day is to buy a twin pack. Amazon’s second Prime Day runs on 6-7 October, and twin-pack offers typically deliver savings of between a third and a half off the regular price. A twin pack includes two brush handles, two sets of brush heads and a single charger, meaning you share the charger or purchase an inexpensive spare. This arrangement works well for couples, families or anyone who wants a backup brush.

Top twin-pack offers

Here are the most attractive bundles currently listed on Amazon:

Oral-B iO2 twin pack – £54.99, saving £35.

Oral-B iO3 twin pack – £79.98, saving £30.

Oral-B iO5 twin pack – £129.99, saving £110.

Oral-B iO9 twin pack – £259.99, saving £140.

Each model offers a different set of features, so you can choose the version that matches your oral-care needs and budget. The iO2 provides essential cleaning modes, while the iO9 adds premium accessories and advanced smart functions.

What the Oral-B iO5 twin pack includes

The iO5 twin pack is our recommended deal. For roughly half price you receive two Oral-B iO5 brushes, each equipped with a light-ring pressure sensor, five brushing modes (daily clean, intense clean, whitening, sensitive and super sensitive), a two-minute timer, quadrant alerts and smart coaching via the Oral-B app. The iO5 lacks the OLED screen and fast-charging capability found on the pricier iO8, but it still provides most of the high-end functionality at a fraction of the cost.

When to act

Prime Day ends at midnight on 7 October, so act quickly if you want to lock in the half-price iO5 twin pack. Remember that a Prime membership is required to access the deals, and the membership also grants benefits such as one-day delivery, Prime Video streaming and exclusive lightning deals.

Alternative premium option

If you prefer the extra features of an OLED display and rapid charging, consider the Oral-B iO8 twin pack. The iO8 includes a colour OLED screen, fast charging and the same suite of brushing modes and smart coaching. However, the iO8 bundle is typically priced higher than the iO5, so weigh the additional features against your budget and decide whether the visual feedback and quicker charge time are worth the extra expense.

Final thoughts

Buying a twin pack during Prime Day is the most straightforward path to a genuine discount on an Oral-B iO toothbrush. Whether you choose the budget-friendly iO5 or the feature-rich iO8, you will receive a high-performance electric brush that outperforms most rivals on the market. Don’t wait – the Prime Day clock is ticking and stock can run out fast.
