Trump Phone T1 UK Release: Is It Worth the Hype?
Uncovering the Truth Behind the Trump Phone T1
The Trump Phone T1 has finally arrived in the UK, but is it a deal or a dud? With its delayed release and reports of cancellation, many have been sceptical about this new device. As it turns out, the Trump Phone T1 is essentially a rebranded HTC U24 Pro, made in Taiwan with Chinese parts.
Repair experts iFixit got their hands on the device and promptly tore it apart, revealing that it’s almost identical to the HTC U24 Pro. The only differences are a slightly larger battery made in the Philippines and a few minor design tweaks.
At Tech Advisor, we review mobile phones and have already reviewed the HTC U24 Pro. Based on our experience, it’s clear that the Trump Phone T1 isn’t the value proposition its backers claim. The phone is already out of date, with the HTC U24 Pro launching almost two years ago.
The Trump Phone T1 is being sold at $499, which is around the same price as the HTC U24 Pro was in mid-2024. However, the phone’s performance is lacking, with a humble Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor that falls short of contemporaries like the OnePlus Nord 4 and Google Pixel 8a.
In conclusion, the Trump Phone T1 is not worth the hype. With its outdated specs and lacklustre performance, it’s hard to recommend over its mid-range rivals. Unless you’re a die-hard Trump fan, it’s best to look elsewhere for a new mobile phone.
