Honor 600 Pro Review
Honor 600 Pro Review: A Familiar Face
The Honor 600 Pro is a flagship-adjacent smartphone from the former Huawei spin-off, and it barely bothers to hide its inspiration from Apple’s current design language. Despite its unoriginal design, the phone offers impressive performance with a camera system and battery life to match.
The 600 Pro has a decent camera system, long battery life, and performance under the hood that will more than satisfy most users. The phone’s 6.57-inch AMOLED panel is bright, vivid, and easy to spend time with, and the stereo speakers handle the midrange with reasonable presence. The phone also features a 200Mp main sensor, a 50Mp periscope camera, and a 12Mp ultrawide camera.
Design and Build
The Honor 600 Pro is a supremely well-designed device, even if it is heavily mimicking the iPhone. Available in either black or golden white, the 600 Pro feels extremely sleek and premium to hold. The main difference between it and the iPhone is the dedicated AI button, positioned beneath the volume and power controls on the right-hand side.
Screen and Speakers
The 6.57-inch AMOLED panel is bright, vivid, and easy to spend time with. The addition of 3,840Hz PWM dimming is also a meaningful inclusion for anyone sensitive to flicker. On the audio side, the stereo speakers handle the midrange with reasonable presence, and high frequencies come through cleanly.
Specs and Performance
The 600 Pro makes its clearest case for the price difference over the standard 600 with its Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Everything moves quickly and confidently: app switching, multitasking, and demanding workloads sit within its comfort zone without apparent effort. The phone didn’t struggle with any higher-intensity games such as Genshin Impact or Fortnite either.
Cameras
The 200Mp main sensor is where the Honor 600 Pro makes its mark. This is a camera that rewards close attention to what you’re actually looking at, and when conditions are right, it delivers a level of detail that’s really impressive at its price. The telephoto camera reaches a 3.5x optical zoom, and image quality holds impressively up to around 20x.
Battery Life and Charging
The Honor 600 Pro has very good endurance, with two days off a full charge achievable under moderate use. The 50W wireless charging is also a welcome addition, although the wired charging is a slight regression from the 100W on the Honor 400 Pro.
Software and Apps
The 600 Pro runs MagicOS 10, Honor’s Android 16 skin, and it brings the same mix of strengths and irritations found on the standard Honor 600. The interface is clean and navigates fluidly, but the AI suite is where restraint would serve Honor better than ambition.
In comparison to other flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S26, the 600 Pro slightly loses out. However, at a good discount, it’s a great buy, and other manufacturers should watch their back. The phone is available through Honor’s official store and third-party retailers including Amazon and Argos, priced at £899.99 in the UK.
