Google Pixel Watch 5 Released
Google Pixel Watch 5: A Comprehensive Guide
The Google Pixel Watch 5 has been officially unveiled, and it’s time to separate fact from fiction. As Google’s main smartwatch for 2026, it’s competing against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and the Apple Watch Series 10.
The Pixel Watch 5 features improved sleep and fitness tracking capabilities, including a daily Readiness Score and better GPS tracking. It also boasts Gemini Intelligence on-wrist, providing contextual assistance and making it easier to respond to messages and find information.
Design and Colors
The Pixel Watch 5 has the same design as its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 4, but with new color options, including Fog, Canyon, and Olive. The watch also features a repairable screen and battery, as well as charging contacts on the side for faster charging.
In addition to the standard models, there’s a Steph Curry Special Edition Pixel Watch 5, which comes with an exclusive orange/grey sweat-wicking watch band. This edition is only available in 45mm and costs $579.
Release Date and Price
The Pixel Watch 5 was unveiled on August 12 and is available to buy from August 20. The price starts at £369/$399, which is a notable hike from the Pixel Watch 4’s entry-level price of £349/$349.99.
The Pixel Watch 5 is also compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the iPad Air M2, making it a great option for those already invested in the Google ecosystem.
