Google Pixel 11 Launch
Google Pixel 11 Launch Event Announced
Google has officially announced the launch event for its next generation of devices, including the Google Pixel 11 range, on 12 August. This event will take place in New York, starting at 6pm local time (ET), which is 11pm in the UK.
Although Google hasn‘t mentioned the phones by name, the invitation hints at the new Pixel devices, stating, “where the next generation of Google Pixel takes the stage.” The teaser image shows a new Pixel phone with a gold frame and camera bar, and a glossy black back, which differs from previously leaked information about the Pixel 11 colours.
Expected Devices
We expect to see four Google Pixel 11 phones launched at the event: a regular Google Pixel 11, two different sizes of Google Pixel 11 Pro, and the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The prices of these devices are expected to be higher than their predecessors. Additionally, Google may launch the Google Pixel Watch 5, a new smartwatch, and possibly other devices like Google Pixel Buds or a Fitbit smart ring, similar to the Apple Watch Series 10 or the Samsung Galaxy Watch6.
In terms of other products, we might see comparisons with devices like the Apple iPhone 17, Samsung Galaxy S25, or the OnePlus 13 Pro. The event may also showcase the latest iPad Air M2 or other tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9.
Features and Specifications
One feature that has been rumoured but not confirmed is the Pixel Glow rear lighting system, which would provide subtle notifications. However, it’s unclear if this feature will be available on the Google Pixel 11 range or if it will be introduced in a later model, like the Google Pixel 12.
The Made by Google event will be an exciting opportunity to see the latest innovations from Google, and we can expect to see comparisons with other flagship devices like the Huawei P60 Pro or the Oppo Find X7 Pro.
