HP Pavilion Vs Moto Book 60 comparison

HP Pavilion Vs Moto Book 60

This is the HP Pavilion Thin and Light Core Ultra series. We reviewed it a few days ago. And this HP one is priced at Rs 69 k INR in india.

HP Pavilion and Moto Book 60 compare

Moto has Intel Core 5. This one has Core Ultra 5. I said let’s compare the processors. Those who keep asking what is the difference, it would have been beneficial there too. And if you look at thin and light, it comes from all over the world. Both of these are in the studio, so I thought let’s compare them. And you tell me in the comment section and whatever demand you have, I am thinking of including some comparisons etc. Look, we are not doing any unboxing etc. Laptop and charger are available in the box of both. We will get 65 W Type C charger with both.

First of all, let’s start with the beauty. And here beauty can be subjective. So in my case, I found Motorola more attractive because HP has the same traditional look. It seems that they have not worked much on their looks for many years. You close your eyes and think of HP laptop. Then some such image comes up. And here Motorola’s laptop is in complete aluminium build. And in HP’s laptop, we get the top layer of aluminium but the rest of the laptop is in polycarbonate. Both laptops are good in build quality. And if you look color wise, Motorola’s color is a bit youth centric. It is a bit more attractive. I am probably liking it. You may not like it.

Weight and look of both laptop

You can check. Some of us also get bronze color in Motorola. There is also a Wedgwood color. And the one in HP is of silver grey type. And by the way, both laptops are of different sizes. Motorola is of 14 inches. HP is of 16 inches. There is a good difference in weight. Here we get a Motorola laptop of 1.35 kg. HP Pavilion is around 1.75 kg. That means it is almost 2 kg. Now this is a thin light category laptop but it is not thin light weight. And if we look at keyboard flex, then we find almost similar in both. And if you look at toplet flex also, then HP feels a little more. But there is a reason for that. This is 16 inches. So the chassis is quite good.

Here the thickness of both the laptops feels almost the same. That means it is around 17-18 mm. And I was looking at the weight distribution here. Motorola opens easily. HP has to struggle a bit to open. Like its bottom does not lift. The weight distribution is not so good. And our maximum HP goes at around 120-130 degrees. And Motorola 170 goes upto 180°. But how much impact it will have on someone’s use case, you have to decide for yourself. That means the weight of a thin light is usually under 1.5 kg. Because the people who prefer these are office goers, they do not need much weight. if we include the charger then the weight increases further. So that is also one thing.

Battery charging and ports support

So probably because of that it is bigger. But both are not going to disappoint you in build quality. After that come the holes, sorry I mean ports. Here inside both the laptops, we will get two USB Type C 3.2 Gen One ports, which support 65 WD in both the laptops. That means you can charge with their Type C charger.

And in both the laptops you will get Type A port of USB 3.2 Gen One, in which Moto Book has a Type A port that is always on. Which means even if your laptop is off, you can charge watch, TWS or anything through it. It is not there in HP. But both the laptops have a combo of headphone mic jack. Motorola wins here at one place. if you have a phone charger of 60-65 W or even less watt, you can charge the laptop with that too. But the same thing is that you will not get fast charging speed with a low watt charger. And a notification also comes that you are not using the right charger.

HP Pavilion and Moto Book 60
HP Pavilion Vs Moto Book 60 comparison

This Type C port in both the laptops also supports Display Port 1.4b, which means you can also take display output up to 4K 144 Hz. Now in both the laptops we get HDMI 2.0 port. Which means you can take output up to 4K 60. And if we look at keyboard flex, then we find almost similar in both. And if you look at toplet flex also, then HP feels a little more. But there is a reason for that. This is 16 inches. So the chassis is quite good.

That is the micro SD card slot, which according to me should be there in every thin light laptop today. Because people expand storage etc. M2 SSD is very expensive. And the people this laptop targets have a lot of data. They store a lot of things in their laptops. And in SSD, you can get SD cards up to 1TB or 2TB without spending any money, which you can normally plug in your laptop and expand your storage.

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max display specs stack up against US-market flagships

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max display specs stack up against US-market flagships

Comparing Redmi’s new display technology with Samsung and Apple’s top models

The Redmi K90 Pro Max has quickly become one of the most discussed smartphones in 2025, thanks to its promise of premium-grade performance at a mid-range price. Among its most talked-about features is the display — a component that has become central to how users experience their phones. For buyers in the United States, where flagship devices from Apple and Samsung dominate, it’s natural to wonder how Redmi’s latest screen technology measures up against these established leaders.

The K90 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2608 × 1200 pixels. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, putting it on par with top-tier phones in smoothness and image clarity. Redmi also claims an impressive peak brightness of around 3500 nits, which immediately raises eyebrows — even when compared to Apple’s 3000-nit outdoor peak on the iPhone 17 Pro Max or Samsung’s 2600-nit rated Galaxy S25 Ultra. On paper, that makes the Redmi K90 Pro Max one of the brightest phones on the market, an advantage that could matter significantly in sunlight visibility.

In terms of display size, all three flagship-class devices now hover around the 6.9-inch mark, so there is little difference in screen real estate. However, Samsung continues to lead in raw resolution with its 3120 × 1440 QHD+ AMOLED 2X panel. Apple, meanwhile, strikes a balance between crispness and efficiency with its 2868 × 1320 resolution. Redmi’s slightly lower 2608 × 1200 resolution may not match the pixel density of its American rivals, but in real-world usage, the difference is barely noticeable, especially considering the display’s strong colour calibration and refresh performance.

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max display specs stack up against US-market flagships

The real point of interest lies in how the Redmi’s display performs in different lighting conditions. Under bright daylight, a higher brightness level directly translates into better readability. If Redmi’s 3500-nit claim holds true in real testing, the K90 Pro Max could outperform even Apple’s latest iPhone 17 Pro Max in sunlight. That would mark a milestone for a brand known more for affordability than display leadership. Conversely, in low-light environments, Redmi’s inclusion of DC dimming and a minimum brightness of 1 nit ensures comfortable nighttime reading without noticeable flicker or eye strain. Both Samsung and Apple already provide excellent low-brightness performance, but Redmi’s competitive approach shows the brand’s determination to meet global flagship standards.

Beyond brightness and resolution, colour accuracy and HDR implementation are major factors in determining real-world quality. The Redmi K90 Pro Max supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, an impressive combination not even matched by Samsung’s latest models, which focus on HDR10+ but skip Dolby Vision. This dual support allows Redmi users to enjoy a broader range of high-dynamic-range content from different streaming platforms without losing visual fidelity. Apple’s ecosystem naturally delivers excellent HDR performance too, though with proprietary tuning for its own display engine. Still, the K90 Pro Max’s flexibility gives it a unique advantage for users who consume mixed-source HDR content.

Another consideration is power efficiency. High-brightness OLED panels typically draw more energy, especially at sustained peak output. Redmi’s software reportedly uses adaptive tuning that limits power consumption by adjusting brightness levels dynamically based on ambient conditions. Samsung’s LTPO technology remains a step ahead in this area, offering smooth transitions between 1 Hz and 120 Hz refresh rates to preserve battery life. Apple’s ProMotion display works similarly, though with an emphasis on software consistency rather than raw efficiency. While Redmi’s approach might not be as advanced, its battery capacity and software optimizations help minimize the gap in everyday use.

For multimedia consumption, the Redmi K90 Pro Max display delivers rich colours, deep blacks, and sharp contrast, putting it close to the experience users expect from premium U.S.-market devices. It also supports a wide colour gamut and fine-tuned tone mapping for both gaming and video playback. Gamers will appreciate its fast touch response and low latency, while movie watchers can rely on balanced colour rendering that avoids over-saturation. These features combine to make Redmi’s panel genuinely competitive, not just a marketing claim.

The gap that remains between the Redmi K90 Pro Max and U.S. flagships lies in ecosystem integration and long-term calibration. Samsung and Apple both benefit from years of refinement and consistent performance under different conditions. Their panels are factory-calibrated with high precision, and their software updates continue to optimize colour accuracy and brightness management. Redmi, by contrast, is still perfecting this level of polish for international models. Users may occasionally notice minor inconsistencies in auto-brightness or tone mapping, particularly in varying lighting environments.

Overall, the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s display offers exceptional value and near-flagship-grade performance. For a device expected to cost significantly less than both the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, its visual quality stands as a remarkable achievement. If its real-world brightness and HDR claims are validated in further testing, Redmi may have set a new benchmark for affordable high-end displays. For U.S.-based enthusiasts considering an import, the phone provides an enticing alternative: a screen that genuinely competes with the best, at a fraction of the cost.

In conclusion, while Samsung and Apple continue to dominate the premium category with precision engineering and seamless integration, the Redmi K90 Pro Max proves that a well-priced smartphone can match — and in some areas, even surpass — their display performance. Its brightness, HDR versatility, and visual quality combine to deliver an experience that feels distinctly flagship-class. For those focused on display excellence without paying top-tier prices, the K90 Pro Max stands as one of 2025’s most impressive surprises in the global smartphone market.

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s launch may shift Canadian smartphone market dynamics in late 2025

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s launch may shift Canadian smartphone market dynamics in late 2025

The Redmi K90 Pro Max could disrupt Canada’s premium phone landscape

As the Redmi K90 Pro Max gains global attention for its powerful features and aggressive pricing, Canadian smartphone buyers and industry analysts are beginning to speculate on how its introduction—officially or through import channels—could influence the local market. The latter part of 2025 could mark a significant shift, particularly in how consumers perceive value, performance, and brand prestige in the premium smartphone segment.

The most immediate effect of the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s presence in Canada would be felt in the pricing dynamics of flagship devices. Canadian consumers have grown accustomed to paying over CAD 1,200 for high-end models from brands like Samsung, Google, and Apple. If the Redmi K90 Pro Max enters the scene at a significantly lower price—whether through official channels or grey-market imports—it could reset expectations of what constitutes a “premium” device. The phone’s rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, large battery, 5× optical zoom, and advanced display technology rival those of top-tier competitors, yet at potentially hundreds less. This shift could pressure other manufacturers to justify their price tags with improved software support, camera innovations, or bundled services.

The grey-market effect could be the second major factor shaping the Canadian smartphone landscape. With no official confirmation yet of a local Redmi release, many enthusiasts are already turning to international sellers to secure the latest models. This pattern has grown familiar among Canadians who seek devices not yet certified for North American carriers. These unofficial imports create both opportunities and challenges: while they allow early adopters to access cutting-edge tech at lower prices, they also carry risks such as limited warranty coverage, lack of local repair options, and occasional network compatibility issues. Nonetheless, strong word-of-mouth and online reviews often help build trust around these imported models, which can further fuel parallel import growth.

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s launch may shift Canadian smartphone market dynamics in late 2025

The Canadian carriers’ response to such devices will play a crucial role in defining the impact of the K90 Pro Max. Major networks like Rogers, Bell, and Telus typically favor certified devices that meet Canadian radio and safety standards. If the Redmi K90 Pro Max remains an uncertified import, carriers might restrict certain services such as Wi-Fi Calling or 5G band optimization. However, if Xiaomi decides to pursue official certification for a global or North American version, this could open doors for direct carrier partnerships. That move would mark Redmi’s formal entry into the mainstream market, potentially altering how new devices are priced, marketed, and financed across Canada.

Beyond carriers, consumer perception will also evolve. Historically, Canadian buyers have placed high trust in familiar brands with strong service networks. But with tech-savvy users increasingly aware of global models and pricing, brand loyalty is starting to give way to value-driven decisions. The Redmi K90 Pro Max, with its combination of flagship hardware and competitive pricing, appeals to this growing segment. It may not immediately dethrone established brands, but it can change purchasing behavior by making consumers question whether expensive flagships offer sufficient advantages.

The competitive response from Samsung and Google will likely include more aggressive promotions, extended software support, and bundled ecosystem perks. Samsung may push trade-in bonuses or Galaxy ecosystem discounts, while Google could emphasize seamless integration with its Pixel software experience. Meanwhile, Apple’s position, though secure at the high end, could face indirect pressure as consumers become more price-sensitive across all tiers. The arrival of an imported or officially distributed Redmi device could also push midrange phones from Motorola, OnePlus, and Nothing to adjust their offerings to stay relevant.

A less visible but equally important shift could happen in accessory and retail ecosystems. If the Redmi K90 Pro Max gains traction, retailers and online stores may begin stocking more third-party accessories, cases, and chargers compatible with the device. This ecosystem support would further legitimize imported phones, reducing friction for buyers who once hesitated due to accessory availability. As the accessory market adapts, the line between officially supported and imported devices could blur even more.

However, challenges remain. Import duties, lack of bilingual packaging compliance, and uncertain after-sales service may slow Redmi’s expansion. Additionally, consumers who rely on carrier financing options might be reluctant to pay upfront for imported units. Still, the K90 Pro Max’s performance-to-price ratio could attract enough buyers to influence broader pricing trends. Even without an official presence, its existence alone serves as a benchmark for what consumers should expect at different price points.

In the longer term, if Xiaomi introduces a certified global model that meets Canadian standards, the effects could be profound. Official support would enable Redmi to compete directly with Samsung and Google in retail channels, forcing a recalibration of prices and features across the entire premium segment. Such a development could democratize access to flagship-level devices in Canada and challenge long-held assumptions about which brands dominate innovation and value.

In summary, the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s launch—official or otherwise—has the potential to reshape Canada’s smartphone market in late 2025. Whether through pricing pressure, increased grey-market activity, or changing consumer expectations, its arrival represents more than just another phone release. It signals a shift toward a more globally aware and value-driven consumer base, one that demands performance without overpaying for branding. If Redmi can back its hardware prowess with sustained software updates and potential certification for Canadian carriers, it could permanently alter how premium smartphones are bought, sold, and perceived across the country.

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max compares with local flagship pricing in New Zealand

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max compares with local flagship pricing in New Zealand

Redmi K90 Pro Max Challenges Premium Flagships in New Zealand Market

The Redmi K90 Pro Max has attracted attention among New Zealand smartphone enthusiasts for its impressive specifications and competitive pricing. While Xiaomi has yet to launch the device officially in the country, many buyers are exploring import options to take advantage of its powerful hardware at a lower cost. In a market where flagship smartphones are becoming increasingly expensive, the K90 Pro Max offers a striking alternative that delivers top-tier performance for significantly less money.

In New Zealand, flagship smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, and Google Pixel 9 Pro dominate the premium segment. These devices typically retail between NZD 2,200 and NZD 2,700, depending on storage configuration and promotional offers. By comparison, the Redmi K90 Pro Max, when imported, costs roughly between NZD 1,300 and NZD 1,500, including shipping and taxes. This means it is almost 40 to 50 percent cheaper than most locally sold flagship phones, while still providing similar levels of performance, battery life, and camera quality.

At the core of this value proposition is Xiaomi’s decision to equip the Redmi K90 Pro Max with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the same chip found in many high-end flagship models worldwide. This processor ensures smooth multitasking, high gaming performance, and efficient power usage. Coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and fast UFS 4.0 storage, the phone easily competes with the Galaxy S24 Ultra and other premium models in raw speed. Benchmarks show that it performs on par with these leading devices, making it one of the most powerful smartphones available under NZD 1,500.

How the Redmi K90 Pro Max compares with local flagship pricing in New Zealand

Battery performance is another area where the Redmi K90 Pro Max stands out. With a 7,560mAh silicon-carbon battery, it offers nearly double the endurance of many competitors. Even with heavy usage, it easily lasts more than a full day, while fast 100W wired and 50W wireless charging ensures quick top-ups. For New Zealand users who value long-lasting battery life, especially during travel or outdoor activities, the K90 Pro Max provides a major advantage over flagship models that still rely on smaller 5,000mAh batteries.

Design and display quality are often deciding factors for flagship buyers, and Xiaomi has ensured that the K90 Pro Max does not disappoint. It features a large AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and peak brightness levels that make it easy to use even under bright sunlight. The screen quality is comparable to that of Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED panels, and the thin bezels give the phone a premium appearance. The overall build, with its glass and metal finish, feels solid and refined, giving the device a luxurious aesthetic despite its lower price tag.

Camera performance also plays a major role in how the K90 Pro Max measures up to its more expensive rivals. Equipped with a 200MP primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto sensor, it delivers sharp, vibrant images that rival those of high-end competitors. While Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy series maintain slight advantages in color accuracy and video stabilization, the Redmi K90 Pro Max performs exceptionally well for its price range. For most users, the difference in image quality is minimal, making the K90 Pro Max an excellent all-rounder.

The biggest advantage that local flagships in New Zealand hold over imported models like the K90 Pro Max is after-sales service and network compatibility. Locally purchased smartphones come with full manufacturer warranties, service support, and optimized software updates for the region. Imported devices, on the other hand, may require users to handle warranty claims through overseas sellers, which can be inconvenient and time-consuming. Additionally, although the K90 Pro Max supports most global 5G and 4G bands, a few specific frequencies used in rural New Zealand may not be fully compatible. This could affect network performance in certain areas.

Despite these limitations, the Redmi K90 Pro Max presents an outstanding value proposition for buyers who prioritize performance and innovation over brand prestige. For around NZD 1,400, users can enjoy a smartphone that competes directly with devices priced over NZD 2,300, offering near-identical specifications, faster charging, and a larger battery. The savings of NZD 800 to NZD 1,000 can be significant for consumers who prefer cutting-edge technology without paying a premium for brand recognition.

In conclusion, the Redmi K90 Pro Max has proven that high-end smartphone performance does not have to come with an equally high price tag. When compared to local flagship pricing in New Zealand, it provides exceptional value, powerful hardware, and impressive battery life at nearly half the cost of leading models. While buyers should be mindful of warranty and connectivity factors, the K90 Pro Max remains an attractive alternative for tech-savvy New Zealanders seeking flagship power at a more accessible price.

HP Laptop 15 camera features

HP Laptop 15 camera features

HP has maintained the curved edges and the finishing of their Essential Series laptops. For those who don’t know, 2 years ago, HP 15 series had a silver keyboard. It was not visible at all. But, HP has upgraded from their last 2023 model. So, we get to see a grey keyboard here. It has good visibility and good gripping. It’s a full-size backlit keyboard. By pressing F4, you can also control the backlit. It has 2 levels of brightness. And, guys, I literally tried typing here. My experience was quite good.

I literally needed a keyboard upgrade on this HP 15 laptop. And, definitely, HP upgraded it. And, just like keyboard, the trackpad is also quite good. If you do normal browsing, then you can expect a battery backup of 5-6 hours In around 60% brightness and low volume So HP should improve in battery Recently I reviewed Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4.

Performance wise HP Laptop 15

You get to see a full-size trackpad. All the multi-gestures of Windows and Elan are supportable. And, my experience was quite good during all my multitasking work. And, one of the fantastic things is the fingerprint reader. Till now, we used to get fingerprint reader support only in the Pavilion series. But, HP has finally included fingerprint reader in the HP 15 series. So, I found this decision quite right. And, this is a fully-function Type-C port. You can charge your laptop from here.

You can also do display sharing. I connected a 4K monitor here. And, it was providing a good display output. A 3.5mm audio jack. And, on the right profile, you get to see the charging pin along with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port along with 5GPS of data transfer rate. All the necessary ports are provided here. But, I found a lack of a microSD card slot.

The most important thing of any laptop that is display Here you get a 15.6 inch full HD IPS panel display with anti glare coating 300 nits of massive peak brightness and 45% NTSC color gamut That is around 62.5% sRGB And 60Hz refresh rate because it is a thin and light laptop And literally IPS panel is the top notch display after the OLED And the display experience was very good. And, looking on to the ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port is provided with a 5GPS of data transfer rate, 1 HDMI 1.4B port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

Camera and featurs in this laptop

I did my coding, did my work and even watched movies The color that comes out of the display is very vibrant Contrast, dynamic range, all are well balanced So that’s the magic of IPS panel display And definitely you all will enjoy it And because of 300 nits of brightness, you can work outdoors as well So there is no problem with these HP 15 laptops According to the 2.2 bottom fan speaker, the output is very good The loudness is also very good Even if you watch movies, your experience will be good With these HP 15 laptops And definitely you will enjoy it And even in the camera.

HP has finally improved You get to see a full HD webcam with dual array integrated microphone LED indicator along with the privacy shutter Full security bro. So we got to see an upgrade in everything But HP has not upgraded the battery yet In HP 15, you get to see a 3 cell 41Wh battery And if you do heavy work, then you expect a battery backup of 3-4 hours From this thin and light laptop.

Battery mAh and charging time

I also charged this laptop with Type C From my Macbook 65W Type C adapter It was getting charged easily without any issues And in terms of thermal thin and light laptop It was a 1Fan model So it’s fine And especially when I played RDR2 I got to see a little heating issue in the keyboard section Because there the CPU load increases a lot Because it is a very high graphics intensity game, So there is no heating issue in normal work.

If you are doing very high intensity work Then definitely the laptop gets heat In terms of pricing, this laptop is available for around Rs 70,000 inr in india But definitely in the sale period This laptop will be available for around Rs 65,000 So it’s time for the final conclusion Should you buy an HP 15 laptop or not?

So definitely you can go If you want a HP brand laptop With a powerful new processor That is Intel Core Ultra 5 Because the power efficiency has been increased a lot And especially the Intel Arc Graphics That is very powerful As compared to Intel Iris Xe Graphics And HP has finally upgraded a lot Like IPS panel, Full HD webcam Fingerprint reader And fully functional Type C port That’s amazing And in terms of reliability and service HP’s laptop stands out in the first position.

HP Laptop 15 camera features
HP Laptop 15 keybord

So definitely you can go with this laptop. I got to see a 7-8 hour battery backup in full brightness So there was a very good backup there But HP should also improve day by day So definitely watch the review video of that particular laptop If you want a good battery backup laptop Rest you get to see a 65W AC adapter That’s why you can charge your laptop in 70-90 minutes Rapid fast charging technology is supported.

Finel thoughts of this post

I haven’t seen any major cons And how can I forget about 5600MHz RAM I mean, thin and light laptop That too in HP 15 series I didn’t expect this So definitely you can go with this laptop. If your budget is Rs 65,000-70,000 And you want to search for a good brand laptop With powerful processor and good decent integrated graphics And powerful memory optimization Then definitely this laptop Will be the perfect fit for students, traders And also for working professionals.

HP Laptop 15 Intel Core Ultra 125 Review

HP Laptop 15 Intel Core Ultra 125

Alright guys, I have brought the HP 15 laptop with the latest core ultra 5 processor. And literally, HP has done a lot of upgrades in their HP 15 series that I will cover in the post.

Laptop parts in the box

So first thing first, let’s open the laptop’s box. I found the adapter’s packaging to be completely new. Full sustainable packaging, bro. So this is the HP 15 FD1099TO. And it’s the latest laptop. So let’s check it out, how is its performance, build quality, display quality and also the most important thing, the battery backup.

So starting from the technical specifications, it has the latest core ultra 5 125S series processor. It’s a very good processor. That means if we do light work, like browsing or working in the world, then low power efficient core will be used to improve the power efficiency of this processor. It has a 45W base TDP, 14 cores and 18 threads in total. Out of the 14 cores, there are 4 performance cores, 8 efficient cores and 2 low power efficient cores.

Performance build quality in this laptop

I didn’t expect this from HP. It has 16GB DDR5, 5600MHz dual channel RAM. And maximum you can expand the RAM to 32GB in this laptop. And literally, this is a major improvement in HP 15 series. That means your multitasking work will be amazing. And it has 512GB Gen 4 SSD. And look at the speed, 5000Mbps read speed and 0-86Mbps write speed. Just amazing. And it has core ultra 5 125H processor. So here you get to see Intel ARC graphics, which is very powerful. It has 2.2GHz graphics max dynamic frequency.

Here you get to see support for ray tracing. That means better frame rates during the gameplay. And friends, Intel has introduced a new feature in their core ultra series processor. That is neural processing unit. That’s why you get to see Intel AI boost here. That means you can work in any AI related software. Because you know, AI is being integrated in all the software these days. So in that condition, our neural processing unit will be used instead of central processing unit. That is CPU. And in terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth version is 5.3.

All the three light laptops of HP, you get to see MS Office Home and Student 2021 lifetime support. So it’s time to check the benchmark of HP 15 laptop. Here in Cinebench R23, single core score is 1399 points. And the multi-core score is 8112. And in benchmark comparison, you can see where this processor stands out. And recently, That is way better. Because recently, I reviewed Galaxy Book 4. There the open shell score was around 12,000.

We get to see more than double the score. So that’s the power of ARC graphics. I reviewed Acer’s Subgoo 14 with the same processor. There I got to see more scores as compared to HP 15 laptop. Because the brand configures the TDP here. That’s why we see a difference in Cinebench score. In Geekbench 6, we get to see some such scores. And the open shell score is 29,088 And in Cinebench 2024, we get to see some such scores. In 3DMark 10, the overall score is 3173.

Multitasking and benchmark testing in HP Laptop 15

PCMark 10’s score was also amazing, that is 5749. That means you can easily do high-level multitasking in the laptop. In Blender’s benchmark, you get to see the overall score of 1521 in crossmark. So in this benchmark, you can easily do all your tasks. Like office work, coding, web development. You can easily handle the laptop due to the Core Ultra 5 125H processor. Friends, I did some video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.

You can easily do 4K editing in mobile level. And the camera can easily handle 1-2 layers of 4K in this HP 15 laptop. Timeline was running smoothly due to the Core Ultra 5 processor. And 16GB RAM of 56MHz.And the rendering speed was also good. 1 minute video rendered in 1.5 minutes. That means you can easily do buttery smooth HD video editing in this laptop.

If you want to edit Reels like iPhone videos, then this laptop can easily handle it. And those who want to work in Photoshop or do graphic designing, can easily do it in this laptop due to its IPS panel display with 300 nits brightness. And you can also do intermediate-level Blender work in this HP 15 laptop.

Gaming test in High Fps

I will recommend to go with the laptop which has dedicated graphics card like NVIDIA RTX 2050, 3050 for fully 3D modeling and graphic designing work. So it’s time to check the gaming capability of this HP 15 laptop. So, I played the first game in GTA V in Full-HD resolution and default setting. That is a combination of very high and high. I was getting an average frame rate of 50-55. And the gameplay was very smooth. And the TDP of the CPU was not more than 20.6W. Because GTA uses CPU as well as GPU. And the GPU usage was very good, that is 97%.

The temperature was fine according to GTA. It was not more than 75-76. So, definitely you will be able to get 60FPS in GTA V. Then next game I played was Valorant in Full-HD resolution and low setting. There was a V-Sync turn-off. I was getting an average FPS of 180. And you can see that I got a major boost in TDP due to the CPU intensity. I touched max TDP up to 35W. And the temperature is touching up to 96 degrees. I don’t know what were the issues here.

Also Read:  HP OmniBook 5 Next Gen AI USA Price and Features Overview

The temperature should not be raised as per thin and light laptops. But through the time I played the next game, the temperature became low. And here, 16GB RAM was getting a very good benefit. You can see that there was no throttling in the gameplay. And the RAM is also being used properly around 10-11GB. So, yeah, this is all about the Valorant in HP 15 laptop. And to play CH2, you also need a GPU. That’s why you are seeing it here. HP 15 comes with a 1.65 kg laptop. The laptop almost opens with one hand. The hinge is smooth like all other HP laptops. The tilt is maximum of 145 degrees.

HP Laptop 15 Intel Core Ultra 125 Review

That’s why you can see that the GPU was being used up to 95%. That means the integrated graphics. I got an average FPS of 50. And you can see that the temperature is low. It was not going more than 82-84. And overall, the gameplay in CH2 was good as well. And Intel’s ARC graphics are given here. So, I thought why not try playing the game in IDR2. I played it in balanced quality. The performance was pathetic.

I was not getting more than 20-25 FPS. You can understand this if you want to play heavy AAA titles. Like IDR2, Black Myth Wukong, Far Cry 6. Then, definitely, you need a dedicated GPU. At least RTX 2050. And the temperature was maintained around 70-75. So, it’s okay. The temperature automatically goes down through the time. So, this clears out that Intel’s ARC graphics is also for casual gaming. Not very high-intensity gaming. For all the AAA titles games.

Build quality and colour

This laptop is provided to me by A1 Electronics. Dakshin Gungur, Trishupela Vilai. So, if you are from Durga Vilai, Raipur or Chhattisgarh, then definitely visit there. There, you will get all the laptops of all the brands. And all the electronic items at a very cheap price. The address and contact number is given in the description below. Definitely, visit there. So, let’s see the build and design of HP 15. I reviewed an HP 15 8 months ago. The back panel is white with a polycarbonate build. There are air intake vents along with a 2W to 2W speaker. The palm rest area is also in natural silver color. PC AVS’s overall build quality is top-notch.

There is an Intel Core i5 sticker along with the Intel Arc Graphics sticker. The laptop comes with a very minimal and professional look like all other HP laptops. I checked the flex on this laptop. I got to see both the top-lit flex and the keyboard flex. So, it’s possible that the build is made of polycarbonate.

There is flexibility. Like all other thin and light laptops, you get to see exhaust vents below the display. Your laptop doesn’t get affected by the exhaust vents. I didn’t see any screen wobbling in HP 15. So, that’s great here. That laptop and this laptop’s design is the same. The laptop comes in natural silver color. PC AVS’s overall build quality is top-notch. You get to see HP’s shiny branding. There is an embossed grip along with the opening grip.

Import cost, shipping and GST for New Zealand buyers of Redmi K90 Pro Max

Import cost, shipping and GST for New Zealand buyers of Redmi K90 Pro Max

What New Zealand Buyers Should Know Before Importing the Redmi K90 Pro Max

The Redmi K90 Pro Max has quickly become one of the most talked-about flagship smartphones of the year, combining powerful performance with a massive battery and premium features at a competitive price. While Xiaomi has not officially released this model in New Zealand, many local tech enthusiasts are considering importing it directly from overseas. However, before placing an order, buyers in New Zealand should be aware of the total cost, including import charges, shipping fees, and Goods and Services Tax (GST). Understanding these factors helps avoid unexpected expenses and delays once the device arrives at customs.

For most buyers, the Redmi K90 Pro Max will be purchased from online marketplaces or international e-commerce platforms that ship to New Zealand. The base price of the phone varies depending on storage configuration and the seller’s country of origin. On average, the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version costs around NZD 1,200 to NZD 1,300 before shipping. When shipping charges, insurance, and currency conversion fees are added, the total declared value typically rises to about NZD 1,350. This declared amount becomes the basis for calculating import tax and GST when the product enters the country.

Under New Zealand’s customs rules, imported goods valued below NZD 1,000 generally do not incur additional GST or duty at the border, provided that GST has already been collected by the overseas retailer. However, for higher-value shipments—especially flagship smartphones like the Redmi K90 Pro Max—the total cost almost always exceeds the NZD 1,000 threshold. Once that happens, the buyer must pay 15 percent GST on the total customs value, which includes the cost of the item, shipping, and any insurance. In this case, a NZD 1,350 shipment would attract about NZD 200 in GST. Customs may also charge minor administrative fees such as the Import Entry Transaction Fee and Biosecurity Levy, which together usually add another NZD 40 to NZD 50.

Import cost, shipping and GST for New Zealand buyers of Redmi K90 Pro Max

Fortunately, there is no customs duty on smartphones imported into New Zealand. This means the GST and small clearance fees are the only extra charges most buyers will face. Once payment is completed, the shipment is released and delivered through the courier service. Buyers usually receive a notification from DHL, FedEx, or NZ Post to settle the GST online before the parcel clears customs. The process is straightforward, and most deliveries proceed smoothly once all taxes are paid.

Shipping time depends on the chosen courier and the seller’s location. Most Redmi K90 Pro Max units come from China or Hong Kong, and express couriers typically take five to ten business days to deliver to major cities like Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch. Standard air shipping can take up to three weeks. Buyers should always ensure that the seller uses a reliable service that complies with lithium battery transport regulations, as smartphones with high-capacity batteries require special handling during transit. Using trackable shipping options helps avoid delays or losses, which can be difficult to resolve for imported electronics.

Another consideration for New Zealand buyers is the GST treatment by the seller. Many major online platforms are already registered with New Zealand’s Inland Revenue Department to collect GST at the point of sale for low-value goods. However, if the seller is not registered, the responsibility shifts to the buyer to pay GST at the border. For high-value purchases like the Redmi K90 Pro Max, customs will always assess the shipment and ensure that GST is collected before release. Buyers should retain receipts and invoices showing the item’s full value, as under-declaration can lead to penalties or delays in clearance.

Warranty and after-sales service are also important factors to think about. Imported phones do not usually come with official New Zealand warranty support. In case of hardware issues, users may need to send the device back to the original seller or to an overseas service center, which can be costly and time-consuming. Buyers should check if the retailer provides international warranty coverage or extended protection plans before purchasing. Local third-party repair shops can handle most issues, but official parts may not always be immediately available.

From a financial standpoint, New Zealand buyers should budget approximately 15 to 20 percent more than the listed international price to cover all taxes and shipping expenses. For instance, a Redmi K90 Pro Max priced at NZD 1,250 overseas will likely cost around NZD 1,450 after adding GST and shipping fees. While this raises the total cost, the phone still offers significant value compared to similarly equipped flagships sold locally, many of which are priced much higher.

In conclusion, importing the Redmi K90 Pro Max into New Zealand is a practical option for those who want cutting-edge performance at a reasonable price, as long as the buyer understands the import process. With a clear grasp of GST, customs rules, and shipping logistics, the entire transaction can proceed smoothly. By using reliable couriers, ensuring proper documentation, and budgeting for taxes, New Zealand buyers can enjoy one of Xiaomi’s best smartphones without any unpleasant surprises.

HUAWEI WATCH D2: A Perfect Blood Pressure Moniter Smart Watch

I want to share with you about a brand new smartwatch, That I’m currently rocking it’s called The Huawei watch D2 second gen and It’s the only smart watch in the market, That is ABPM that means ambulatory blood pressure monitoring yep, A pretty interesting term and basically what ambulatory means is that the watch itself is actually capable of tracking your blood pressure over regular intervals throughout.

The entire day to give you a more accurate picture of how your blood pressure actually is now the reason why I was actually quite excited to test this out is because unfortunately for me.

I’m actually suffering from you know a little bit of high blood pressure hypertension and at home typically, I’m actually using this guy here uh which, I tend to track my own BP over you know multiple days. when this watch was actually announced and Huawei reached out to me to see if I want to track it out uh naturally. I said yes and the first thing that, I had in my mind was like you know is this certified by any kind of medical institutions and they said that they are certified by one from Europe one from China and eventually. it will also be certified in Malaysia.

Huawei watch d2 is useful for anyone who’s suffering from hypertension

I noticed that on the inside we actually have different straps so one is a bit uh longer like this and mine version here because I’m quite skinny it’s actually A shorter strap now what’s actually interesting is that on the back of this strap you do have this tiny a bag kind of thing and it’s actually similar to how you know a machine typically you know measures your blood pressure that means they put in a lot of air and try to squeeze your arms. So, you can actually measure the flow of your blood and all that, but you can actually do.

That with the Huawei watch D2 so that’s pretty interesting there now how you actually measure your blood pressure using the watch itself is fairly simple you try to keep it as close to your heart as possible and You just put your arm like this or your wrist like this and you can just get the measurement right away.

It’s super simple and it takes about 50 seconds, you know for my situation about 40 to 50 seconds to actually get a readin. So I’ve actually been using this throughout the entire day, multiple days now. And I’ve got quite a fair bit of Records down in the watch itself and, I can also see that in the app now how this is useful for anyone who’s suffering from hypertension.

Whether it’s low BP mid or high. Is that you can actually show these records to your doctor because, you know eventually, you have the entire day’s. BP measurement over that regular intervals. You can actually give your doctor a clearer idea on what your BP actually is and that’s actually quite important because hypertension is also known to some as the silent killer.

I myself wasn’t aware that I had this issue until a couple of years back, when I just felt Giddy and, I went to check with the doctor and That was when I realized, That I do have this hypertension issue, now in case you’re wondering if the watch itself is very heavy.

You can track up to 80 different kinds of sport modes

The Huawei watch GT5 Pro and this guy here is actually even lighter than the GT5 Pro. Now that’s a very quick one in comes of the design what we have here is actually a fairly standard looking Smartwatch, I would say. That it looks premium to a certain extent, but it does come with this very large 1.82 in you know AMOLED display on the front which is very easy to navigate and use other than that the straps themselves feel very comfortable, it’s sweat resistant, and You know it’s a skin friendly kind of strap.

You also have two buttons on the side here with one being a rotating crown for those easier control all right, so it’s not just uh tracking your blood pressure and all That the watch itself can actually also track your other health features. N   aturally we have your all-day heart rate your spo 2. Your stress levels it also tracks your sleeves very in detail. So, it has your deep sleeves your light sleeves, it also tracks your breeding patterns during your sleeves, and You also have stuff like your skin temperature ECG your arterial stiffness and much more.

HUAWEI WATCH D2

Now moving on in case you’re wondering about. Whether it tracks your normal activities let’s say you do some sports and all that where the watch itself comes with GNNS on board. So, it provides some form of like a positioning as well. So you can actually track up to 80 different kinds of sport modes, it also works like a typical kind of Smartwatch, where you can see all your notifications you can also answer Bluetooth calls directly from the watch itself and yeah all.

I didn’t feel like, I was wearing a blood pressure monitor on my wrist it still feels like a smartwatch, but it adds on the feature where it can actually track my blood pressure.

Battery test of huawei watch d2

Now another thing you might be worried about here is in terms of the battery life if it’s you know tracking a blood pressure. So many times, at those regular intervals during the day is it going to have a big impact on your battery life but so far, I can’t say like how long the battery will actually last uh but so far.

I’ve been on my third day, Now I think, and I still have about like a 50% remaining. So, I will assume close to a week uh it depends how often you set those intervals for your blood pressure monitoring and That will actually affect your ultimate battery life but nevertheless It’s still better than some other smart watches out there. Anyways that’s pretty much.
