AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS processor

Today, we have Asus TUF A15. I have received a lot of comments about it. We reviewed the 3050 variant a few days ago. This is the 4050 variant. It has AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS processor. It has Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth version 5.3. And there is no MS office. Usually, you get MS office in LOQ or Victus.

 

This laptop is running at Rs 87,990 today in india. And you can see the card & bank offers. What are the good & bad things about it. And what are the good & bad things compared to other laptops at this price point. We will cover everything as usual. You will get the TUF feel here. The top lid is made of metal & has TUF logo. It has a design.

 

AMD Radeon has an integrated GPU. Many of you must be thinking that what will we do with this dedicated GPU & iGPU. iGPU works with the MUX switch. Because you can output the display output of the laptop with the dedicated GPU & iGPU. To get more battery backup. And yes, there is no MUX switch in this laptop. The GPU is RTX 4050 with 6GB VRAM & 140W TGP.

 

It has 16GB DDR5 RAM with 4800 Mt/s speed. It has 2 slots. But it has single channel RAM & the other slot is free. It has its own advantages & disadvantages. It has a full-on caution & high frame rate zone. Let’s talk about the specifications. It has AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS processor. It has 8 cores & 16 threads. And there is no iGPU in this processor.

I want to make a graph. But there are 2-3 laptops at the same price point. Some have 16GB RAM, some have 32GB RAM. Some have different TDP & TGP. So there are a lot of possibilities. No matter how big the PSD is. And Premiere Pro score is around 5800. That means video editing will be from 1080P to 4K level. It depends on the layers. It can vary a little.

 

You can reduce the render resolution of the timeline. And you can easily do any level of editing. The processor is very capable. You must have understood the numbers if you watch regular videos. DaVinci Resolve score is around 4500. So you must have got an idea that it is a good machine for productivity & gaming. Multitasking, Coding, Music production software, etc. You can run all these in this. There won’t be any problem. If you want to do a GPU intensive task. You have already seen the render & blender benchmark of BMW.

 

But that is also a very subjective task. If you are doing game development, What type of project do you have? This is a 6GB V RAM graphics card. It has a good TGP. So it won’t create any problem. But that’s the thing. What type of project do you have? How many layers do you have? How many effects do you have? Whether it is architecture or modeling. Whatever your task is, it can vary. You can do everything in this. You can do everything in 5090. You know how to do everything.

 

 

System stability test

 

I ran Prime95 for 1 hour. 100% CPU load. Maximum temperature went up to 93 degrees. Average temperature went up to 90 degrees. And this is AMD. AMD is very power efficient. Thermal is on the decent side. Room temperature is around 20-21 degrees. Then I ran Furmark for 1 hour which is for GPU. GPU temperature went up to 88 degrees.

 

It was running smoothly. There was no blue screen death. Everything is stable. If we compare it with a competitive processor, It doesn’t perform that much better. Even if it’s a competition like Ryzen 7 7840HS. We get an iGPU in this. Apart from that, there is Ryzen 7 8000 series.

 

RJ45 LAN port. 1 HDMI 2.1 port. Its output is from 4050. Because it doesn’t have an iGPU. Then there is a Type C port with 3.2 Gen 1. Only data transfer. No PD, no display output. Then there is another Type C port with 3.2 Gen 2. It has fast data transfer. Display output is also from 4050. And it supports 90W PD. Then there is another Type A port with 3.2 Gen 1. And a headphone-mic jack combo. So, there are no such problems in terms of ports. But a USB 4.0 port would’ve been better. It has a 40Gbps bandwidth.

 

Average temperature went up to 71 degrees. GPU maximum temperature went up to 135 degrees. But you know that 40 series doesn’t go above 80-90 degrees. But my laptop didn’t crash. And there are Intel processors. This is the least performing. Ultimately, it is power efficient. In terms of ports, we get a Kensington lock on the right side. 1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port. On the left side, there is a power input port.

 

 

The display of this laptop

 

The 3050 variant had a 45% NTSC display. In this, it has 100% sRGB. It has a 1080P full HD display of 15.6 inches. And it has a 144Hz refresh rate. It has a brightness of 300 nits. And the color gamut is 97% sRGB.

 

You can see the other values in front of you. If you want to do color grading tasks, If you watch content, If you play games, Then the display gives you full enjoyment. It has fast charging support

 

You will get an idea. It has a 90W battery. The 3050 variant had a 48W battery. But the backup is only for 3-4 hours. It is for basic usage. Keyboard backlight is off. If you are doing normal day-to-day tasks. And if you have a MUX switch, Then you can get a better 90W backup. Because the processor is very good. But it doesn’t have an IGPU. Our DGPU is continuously running. So, The consumption increases there. It comes with a 240W power adapter. We are testing it on 1080P native resolution. And according to this processor, We are getting 200 average FPS. Then we tested CS2 on very high settings. And this is a GPU intensive game. It used to have a CPU. Now that CS2 has come, It’s great.
