Wednesday Season 3: What to Expect
The third season of Wednesday is set to be even more eventful than the previous one, with a mysterious plot and new characters joining the cast. The story will revolve around Morticia’s sister, Ophelia Frump, whose appearance was teased in the season two finale.
Netflix has finally revealed who’ll play the role of Ophelia Frump, and it’s none other than Eva Green. The French actress is known for her roles in Kingdom of Heaven, Casino Royale, and Penny Dreadful. She’ll be joining the cast alongside Winona Ryder, who’ll be guest-starring as a mysterious character named Tabitha.
The new season is currently in production, but the release date has not been announced yet. However, based on the previous seasons’ release patterns, it’s estimated that season three may premiere in 2027. The plot of season three is still under wraps, but it’s expected to explore the mystery surrounding Ophelia Frump and her connection to Wednesday.
In season two, we saw the introduction of new characters, including Judi Stonehurst, who had the power to manipulate birds. Although she was killed off in the season finale, the red-eyed crow that was flying at the head of the birds led by Judi reappeared, leaving room for a potential comeback. Enid, Wednesday’s roommate, was also revealed to be an alpha werewolf, and her storyline is expected to continue in season three.
Tyler, who managed to escape from the psychiatric hospital, found his mother, Francoise, but she died in the finale. He was approached by Isadora Capri, a werewolf and music teacher at Nevermore, who asked him to join her Hyde pack. The alliance between Tyler and Isadora is expected to be a significant theme in season three.
The cast of Wednesday season three will include Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams. Fred Armisen will reprise his role as Uncle Fester, and Joanna Lumley will return as Grandmama Hester Frump.
Other cast members, including Victor Dorobantu, Joonas Suotamo, and Liv Spencer, will also return in their respective roles. New cast members, such as Noah Taylor, Chris Sarandon, and Oscar Morgan, will join the show in season three. Billie Piper will also return as Isadora Capri, the music teacher and head of the Hyde pack.
