Camera performance and photography feedback from Canadian users
The Redmi K90 Pro Max has quickly become one of the most discussed smartphones among Canadian photography enthusiasts, thanks to its advanced triple-camera setup and impressive hardware configuration. As discussions grow across various photography forums, users have been sharing their impressions about how this phone’s imaging system performs under real-world Canadian conditions. From bright daylight shots to low-light winter captures, the K90 Pro Max is attracting attention for its balance between hardware strength and software image processing.
The camera stack on the Redmi K90 Pro Max consists of three 50-megapixel sensors. The primary camera features a large 1/1.31-inch sensor with optical image stabilization, designed to capture detailed, bright images even in challenging lighting. The secondary camera is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide unit, ideal for landscapes and group photos, while the third is a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens that offers up to 5x optical zoom. For many Canadian users, this combination represents a solid step forward for Redmi, especially since it brings flagship-level versatility to a more affordable price range.
Canadian photography communities have been analyzing this device closely, comparing it to established camera leaders like the iPhone 16 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Google Pixel 9 Pro. Many forum members note that the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s main sensor produces bright, crisp images with vivid contrast. In sunny conditions, colors appear lively and detailed, which appeals to users capturing Canada’s scenic landscapes—from the Rockies to the coastlines of Nova Scotia. However, some photographers have mentioned that the camera tends to oversaturate colors slightly, giving photos a punchier but less natural look.
In low-light environments, Canadian users have found the camera’s large sensor and optical stabilization to be quite effective. Night shots of city streets, snow-covered suburbs, or indoor scenes show strong noise control and good sharpness. The device’s dedicated night mode enhances shadow detail without introducing too much artificial brightness. Photographers in colder provinces, who often deal with reflective snow and low winter light, appreciate how the sensor handles highlights and glare. Still, a few forum members note that the white balance can sometimes drift toward warmer tones under artificial light, slightly altering color accuracy.
One standout feature that has impressed forum users is the telephoto lens. With 5x optical zoom, the Redmi K90 Pro Max allows photographers to capture distant subjects with minimal loss of detail. Canadian wildlife photographers, for example, have shared that the zoom lens performs well when photographing birds, animals, or outdoor events from a distance. While it does not rival the performance of ultra-premium flagships, it produces stable, usable results even in overcast conditions. The optical stabilization on the telephoto lens also helps reduce motion blur during handheld shots, which is particularly valuable in colder months when users wear gloves or shoot in windy environments.
The ultra-wide lens has also received positive remarks, especially for capturing expansive Canadian landscapes. Whether shooting mountain ranges, city skylines, or lakeside panoramas, the lens maintains color consistency close to that of the main sensor. Edge distortion is minimal, and detail preservation across the frame is better than earlier Redmi generations. For group photos or architectural shots in bright light, users have found the ultra-wide sensor to be reliable and sharp. However, a few photographers note that image noise can appear in ultra-wide night shots, which is a common limitation for most smartphones in this range.
Discussions in Canadian forums also focus on image processing and tuning. The Redmi K90 Pro Max uses Xiaomi’s AI image optimization, which enhances sharpness and color vibrancy. This makes photos social media-ready out of the box, but some professional photographers prefer a more neutral tone. Many Canadian users mention that shooting in RAW mode gives them more control in post-processing, especially when working with Lightroom or Snapseed. This flexibility allows them to adjust exposure and color balance manually, achieving a more realistic result closer to what they see with their eyes.
Battery performance and heat management during camera use are also part of the conversation. In colder climates, the device maintains stable camera performance, with only minimal slowdown during prolonged shooting sessions. The large battery ensures that extended outdoor photography sessions do not quickly drain power, even when using high-resolution or video modes. For content creators and vloggers, the 8K recording capability and stable autofocus have been appreciated, though some note that extended 8K use can warm the phone slightly.
Overall, Canadian photography enthusiasts view the Redmi K90 Pro Max as a strong performer in its category. Its hardware rivals many flagships, and its results are particularly good for a phone in this price bracket. While software tuning still leaves room for improvement—especially in color accuracy and HDR balancing—most users agree that the phone offers exceptional value. For casual and semi-professional photographers, it delivers consistent, vibrant results that suit Canada’s diverse photography conditions.
In conclusion, the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s camera system has made a positive impression in Canadian photography forums. Its powerful hardware, reliable zoom lens, and adaptable image quality make it a practical choice for users seeking flagship-level performance without premium pricing. Though it may not yet surpass the most advanced camera phones, it captures the essence of what users need: detail, color, and dependability across all environments—from snowy trails in Alberta to summer festivals in Toronto.

In summary, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 is earning favorable reviews from USA buyers, who appreciate its display quality, performance, battery life, and versatility. Despite some limitations, it stands out as a strong contender in the tablet market.
The Redmi K90 Pro Max could disrupt Canada’s premium phone landscape
As the Redmi K90 Pro Max gains global attention for its powerful features and aggressive pricing, Canadian smartphone buyers and industry analysts are beginning to speculate on how its introduction—officially or through import channels—could influence the local market. The latter part of 2025 could mark a significant shift, particularly in how consumers perceive value, performance, and brand prestige in the premium smartphone segment.
The most immediate effect of the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s presence in Canada would be felt in the pricing dynamics of flagship devices. Canadian consumers have grown accustomed to paying over CAD 1,200 for high-end models from brands like Samsung, Google, and Apple. If the Redmi K90 Pro Max enters the scene at a significantly lower price—whether through official channels or grey-market imports—it could reset expectations of what constitutes a “premium” device. The phone’s rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, large battery, 5× optical zoom, and advanced display technology rival those of top-tier competitors, yet at potentially hundreds less. This shift could pressure other manufacturers to justify their price tags with improved software support, camera innovations, or bundled services.
The grey-market effect could be the second major factor shaping the Canadian smartphone landscape. With no official confirmation yet of a local Redmi release, many enthusiasts are already turning to international sellers to secure the latest models. This pattern has grown familiar among Canadians who seek devices not yet certified for North American carriers. These unofficial imports create both opportunities and challenges: while they allow early adopters to access cutting-edge tech at lower prices, they also carry risks such as limited warranty coverage, lack of local repair options, and occasional network compatibility issues. Nonetheless, strong word-of-mouth and online reviews often help build trust around these imported models, which can further fuel parallel import growth.
The Canadian carriers’ response to such devices will play a crucial role in defining the impact of the K90 Pro Max. Major networks like Rogers, Bell, and Telus typically favor certified devices that meet Canadian radio and safety standards. If the Redmi K90 Pro Max remains an uncertified import, carriers might restrict certain services such as Wi-Fi Calling or 5G band optimization. However, if Xiaomi decides to pursue official certification for a global or North American version, this could open doors for direct carrier partnerships. That move would mark Redmi’s formal entry into the mainstream market, potentially altering how new devices are priced, marketed, and financed across Canada.
Beyond carriers, consumer perception will also evolve. Historically, Canadian buyers have placed high trust in familiar brands with strong service networks. But with tech-savvy users increasingly aware of global models and pricing, brand loyalty is starting to give way to value-driven decisions. The Redmi K90 Pro Max, with its combination of flagship hardware and competitive pricing, appeals to this growing segment. It may not immediately dethrone established brands, but it can change purchasing behavior by making consumers question whether expensive flagships offer sufficient advantages.
The competitive response from Samsung and Google will likely include more aggressive promotions, extended software support, and bundled ecosystem perks. Samsung may push trade-in bonuses or Galaxy ecosystem discounts, while Google could emphasize seamless integration with its Pixel software experience. Meanwhile, Apple’s position, though secure at the high end, could face indirect pressure as consumers become more price-sensitive across all tiers. The arrival of an imported or officially distributed Redmi device could also push midrange phones from Motorola, OnePlus, and Nothing to adjust their offerings to stay relevant.
A less visible but equally important shift could happen in accessory and retail ecosystems. If the Redmi K90 Pro Max gains traction, retailers and online stores may begin stocking more third-party accessories, cases, and chargers compatible with the device. This ecosystem support would further legitimize imported phones, reducing friction for buyers who once hesitated due to accessory availability. As the accessory market adapts, the line between officially supported and imported devices could blur even more.
However, challenges remain. Import duties, lack of bilingual packaging compliance, and uncertain after-sales service may slow Redmi’s expansion. Additionally, consumers who rely on carrier financing options might be reluctant to pay upfront for imported units. Still, the K90 Pro Max’s performance-to-price ratio could attract enough buyers to influence broader pricing trends. Even without an official presence, its existence alone serves as a benchmark for what consumers should expect at different price points.
In the longer term, if Xiaomi introduces a certified global model that meets Canadian standards, the effects could be profound. Official support would enable Redmi to compete directly with Samsung and Google in retail channels, forcing a recalibration of prices and features across the entire premium segment. Such a development could democratize access to flagship-level devices in Canada and challenge long-held assumptions about which brands dominate innovation and value.
In summary, the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s launch—official or otherwise—has the potential to reshape Canada’s smartphone market in late 2025. Whether through pricing pressure, increased grey-market activity, or changing consumer expectations, its arrival represents more than just another phone release. It signals a shift toward a more globally aware and value-driven consumer base, one that demands performance without overpaying for branding. If Redmi can back its hardware prowess with sustained software updates and potential certification for Canadian carriers, it could permanently alter how premium smartphones are bought, sold, and perceived across the country.
Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Vivo Phone’s Battery
As Origin OS continues to gain popularity among UK smartphone users, many are discovering its strong focus on power management and system efficiency. Vivo’s latest software, built on Android 16, introduces smarter tools and deeper controls that allow users to extend battery life without sacrificing performance. For British users dealing with busy schedules and long commutes, knowing how to optimize battery efficiency has become an important part of daily phone use.
The first key step is using the built-in “Smart Battery Management” feature. Origin OS automatically learns user habits to allocate power intelligently. By enabling adaptive battery settings, the system identifies apps that are rarely used and restricts their background activity. UK users who activate this feature report longer standby times and fewer overnight power drops, especially on devices from the X and iQOO series.
Reducing screen brightness and enabling the adaptive brightness option also makes a significant difference. Origin OS offers precise control over display power consumption through its AMOLED-friendly brightness algorithm. Keeping the display at moderate levels and using dark mode — which takes advantage of the OLED screen’s ability to turn off individual pixels — can help extend battery life during long days out or work sessions.
Another effective method is managing app permissions. Many UK users overlook how background apps drain energy even when not in use. In Origin OS, users can access the “App Power Management” section to limit auto-start permissions and prevent unneeded apps from running continuously. This small adjustment has been shown to improve screen-on time significantly while keeping system performance smooth.
The “Performance Mode” settings also provide control over power usage. For most users, switching from “High Performance” to “Balanced” or “Eco Mode” delivers a noticeable improvement in longevity. UK users who primarily use their phones for messaging, calls, and streaming find that Eco Mode maintains fluid performance while reducing CPU load and heat generation, helping the battery last much longer throughout the day.
Network settings can also impact power efficiency. Origin OS allows users to turn off 5G when not needed, which saves considerable energy, especially in areas with weak coverage. Additionally, disabling Bluetooth, Wi-Fi scanning, and GPS when idle can further reduce drain. Many UK users have found that scheduling airplane mode during nighttime hours prevents unnecessary power consumption.
Another useful habit is maintaining optimal charging patterns. Vivo recommends charging between 20% and 80% rather than letting the battery drop to zero or stay at 100% for extended periods. Origin OS includes “Battery Health Management,” which automatically slows charging after reaching high levels to prevent degradation. This feature helps preserve battery capacity over months of use, especially for UK users relying on fast chargers.
Finally, regular system updates play a crucial role in maintaining efficiency. Each Origin OS update includes optimization patches that improve background management and reduce power-hungry bugs. Keeping the software current ensures that Vivo’s latest battery-saving algorithms run effectively.
By following these simple strategies, UK users can make full use of Origin OS’s intelligent design to maximize battery life and maintain long-term device health. With smarter power management, adaptive tools, and thoughtful usage habits, Vivo owners can enjoy a balanced experience that lasts all day — even under the heavy demands of modern digital life.

Comfort and practicality of the Redmi K90 Pro Max in everyday Canadian life
The Redmi K90 Pro Max is one of the most talked-about smartphones of 2025, blending flagship-level performance with a bold physical presence. For Canadian users, where urban life often involves long commutes, public transit, and multitasking on the go, the phone’s size and weight are more than just specifications—they directly affect usability. Understanding how the K90 Pro Max fits into the daily rhythm of Canadian city life helps determine whether it’s the right choice for both comfort and function.
At first glance, the Redmi K90 Pro Max stands out for its large form factor. With dimensions of roughly 163 mm in height and 78 mm in width, it sits firmly in the “big phone” category. The thickness of about 8 mm keeps it sleek enough to look modern, but its size makes it less suited to one-handed use. In crowded urban settings like Toronto, Vancouver, or Montreal, where people often use their phones while walking, navigating transit apps, or scrolling through social media, the K90 Pro Max’s reachability becomes a challenge. It’s the kind of phone that demands two hands for secure operation, especially when texting or taking photos on the move.
Weight is another factor that defines how the phone feels in daily use. At around 218 grams, the K90 Pro Max has noticeable heft but avoids feeling overly heavy. The weight gives it a premium feel—solid, balanced, and substantial—but after extended periods of one-hand use, fatigue can set in. For example, holding the phone during a long video call or extended social media browsing session can start to feel tiring. The difference may seem minor, but when compared to smaller midrange models weighing around 170 grams, it’s a tangible shift. Most users, however, will adapt quickly, appreciating the sturdiness and premium build that comes with the extra grams.
In pocketability and portability, the Redmi K90 Pro Max walks a fine line. For many Canadians who wear jeans or fitted jackets, the phone’s tall frame can feel bulky in pockets. Sitting down with the phone in a back pocket or trying to slide it into a shallow front pocket may cause discomfort. However, when carried in winter coats, backpacks, or messenger bags—a common scenario in Canada’s colder months—the phone’s size is rarely an issue. In fact, the large body becomes an advantage when used with gloves or in outdoor conditions, since the screen provides ample space for tapping and swiping even when hand precision is limited.
When it comes to daily usability in transit and work environments, the phone’s size and weight present both pros and cons. On buses and subways, where one hand often grips a pole and the other operates the device, its broad display makes one-hand navigation difficult. Still, the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen shines for entertainment and productivity. Watching videos, editing documents, or navigating maps feels immersive and crisp, ideal for users who rely on their phones for both work and leisure during commutes. The trade-off is that the device demands more deliberate handling—using two hands or resting it against a surface for long sessions is almost necessary.
Canadian users often balance digital convenience with physical mobility, and here the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s ergonomics play a key role. The curved edges and smooth back make it comfortable to hold, but its slippery glass finish might require a case for better grip. A slim protective case adds minimal bulk but improves handling significantly. Those who prioritize practicality over aesthetics may prefer textured or rubberized cases that make the device easier to manage in rain or cold weather—conditions Canadians know well.
During daily activities like photography, messaging, or browsing, the phone’s weight distribution feels even and controlled. The large camera module at the back adds minor top-heaviness, but the phone maintains a stable hand feel. Taking photos outdoors or recording video on the go feels natural, and the slightly heavier build actually helps stabilize shots. However, for longer photography sessions or vlogging, users might notice their wrist getting tired more quickly than with smaller devices.
In office and café settings, the size of the Redmi K90 Pro Max becomes an advantage. The expansive display makes multitasking effortless—checking emails, reviewing presentations, and video conferencing are all more enjoyable on a screen of this scale. When placed flat on a desk, its slim design gives it a professional look that fits right into a modern workspace. Canadians working remotely from cafés or coworking spaces will find the phone doubles as a mini productivity tool. Paired with wireless earbuds and cloud-based apps, it can handle much of what a lightweight laptop does.
The battery capacity and thermal management also complement urban lifestyles. Despite its size, the K90 Pro Max remains balanced and doesn’t overheat easily, even during heavy use like gaming or streaming on 5G networks. The size allows for a larger battery, which translates into all-day power—perfect for long commutes, city errands, or travel days. The weight is justified by the endurance and performance it delivers, making it less of a burden and more of a dependable companion.
Ultimately, the Redmi K90 Pro Max fits best into the lives of users who value function and screen real estate over compact portability. For Canadian urban users who spend hours commuting, working from multiple locations, or relying heavily on their phones for entertainment, its size feels like a premium advantage. For those who prioritize minimalism and one-handed convenience, it might feel oversized.
In conclusion, the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s size and weight reflect its flagship ambitions—a powerful, immersive device built for performance rather than pocket stealth. In Canadian urban daily use, it balances luxury and practicality, offering a device that feels substantial yet manageable with small adjustments in handling. For users who embrace its scale, it can become not just a phone, but a full-fledged daily companion that delivers power, endurance, and immersive experience across every aspect of city life.

Several creators said it strikes a balance between Android’s flexibility and Apple-like elegance. The added dark mode refinement and wallpaper controls earned extra praise for maintaining visual consistency across all apps.
When it comes to stability, British reviewers emphasize that Vivo’s software now feels reliable enough for long-term use. Many said they encountered fewer crashes, fewer app reloads, and faster recovery from background freezes than with Funtouch OS. This marks a major step forward for Vivo’s global reputation, especially among tech-savvy UK users who once viewed the brand as inconsistent with updates.
Another common theme is Vivo’s improved communication with global customers. Tech YouTubers note that Vivo now provides clearer update schedules and synchronized global releases for Origin OS. They call this a “welcome change” for British users who previously waited months for firmware updates. This move has made many feel that Vivo is finally prioritizing international users on the same level as its domestic market.
Overall, UK tech YouTubers are rating Origin OS highly for its speed, design, and dependability. They see it as a strong competitor to other major Android interfaces and a major reason why Vivo phones deserve more recognition in the UK. The consensus across reviews is that Origin OS has transformed Vivo’s user experience from average to exceptional — turning skeptics into fans through genuine, performance-driven improvement.

Alright guys, I have brought the HP 15 laptop with the latest core ultra 5 processor. And literally, HP has done a lot of upgrades in their HP 15 series that I will cover in the post.
Laptop parts in the box
So first thing first, let’s open the laptop’s box. I found the adapter’s packaging to be completely new. Full sustainable packaging, bro. So this is the HP 15 FD1099TO. And it’s the latest laptop. So let’s check it out, how is its performance, build quality, display quality and also the most important thing, the battery backup.
So starting from the technical specifications, it has the latest core ultra 5 125S series processor. It’s a very good processor. That means if we do light work, like browsing or working in the world, then low power efficient core will be used to improve the power efficiency of this processor. It has a 45W base TDP, 14 cores and 18 threads in total. Out of the 14 cores, there are 4 performance cores, 8 efficient cores and 2 low power efficient cores.
Performance build quality in this laptop
I didn’t expect this from HP. It has 16GB DDR5, 5600MHz dual channel RAM. And maximum you can expand the RAM to 32GB in this laptop. And literally, this is a major improvement in HP 15 series. That means your multitasking work will be amazing. And it has 512GB Gen 4 SSD. And look at the speed, 5000Mbps read speed and 0-86Mbps write speed. Just amazing. And it has core ultra 5 125H processor. So here you get to see Intel ARC graphics, which is very powerful. It has 2.2GHz graphics max dynamic frequency.
Here you get to see support for ray tracing. That means better frame rates during the gameplay. And friends, Intel has introduced a new feature in their core ultra series processor. That is neural processing unit. That’s why you get to see Intel AI boost here. That means you can work in any AI related software. Because you know, AI is being integrated in all the software these days. So in that condition, our neural processing unit will be used instead of central processing unit. That is CPU. And in terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth version is 5.3.
All the three light laptops of HP, you get to see MS Office Home and Student 2021 lifetime support. So it’s time to check the benchmark of HP 15 laptop. Here in Cinebench R23, single core score is 1399 points. And the multi-core score is 8112. And in benchmark comparison, you can see where this processor stands out. And recently, That is way better. Because recently, I reviewed Galaxy Book 4. There the open shell score was around 12,000.
We get to see more than double the score. So that’s the power of ARC graphics. I reviewed Acer’s Subgoo 14 with the same processor. There I got to see more scores as compared to HP 15 laptop. Because the brand configures the TDP here. That’s why we see a difference in Cinebench score. In Geekbench 6, we get to see some such scores. And the open shell score is 29,088 And in Cinebench 2024, we get to see some such scores. In 3DMark 10, the overall score is 3173.
Multitasking and benchmark testing in HP Laptop 15
PCMark 10’s score was also amazing, that is 5749. That means you can easily do high-level multitasking in the laptop. In Blender’s benchmark, you get to see the overall score of 1521 in crossmark. So in this benchmark, you can easily do all your tasks. Like office work, coding, web development. You can easily handle the laptop due to the Core Ultra 5 125H processor. Friends, I did some video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.
You can easily do 4K editing in mobile level. And the camera can easily handle 1-2 layers of 4K in this HP 15 laptop. Timeline was running smoothly due to the Core Ultra 5 processor. And 16GB RAM of 56MHz.And the rendering speed was also good. 1 minute video rendered in 1.5 minutes. That means you can easily do buttery smooth HD video editing in this laptop.
If you want to edit Reels like iPhone videos, then this laptop can easily handle it. And those who want to work in Photoshop or do graphic designing, can easily do it in this laptop due to its IPS panel display with 300 nits brightness. And you can also do intermediate-level Blender work in this HP 15 laptop.
Gaming test in High Fps
I will recommend to go with the laptop which has dedicated graphics card like NVIDIA RTX 2050, 3050 for fully 3D modeling and graphic designing work. So it’s time to check the gaming capability of this HP 15 laptop. So, I played the first game in GTA V in Full-HD resolution and default setting. That is a combination of very high and high. I was getting an average frame rate of 50-55. And the gameplay was very smooth. And the TDP of the CPU was not more than 20.6W. Because GTA uses CPU as well as GPU. And the GPU usage was very good, that is 97%.
The temperature was fine according to GTA. It was not more than 75-76. So, definitely you will be able to get 60FPS in GTA V. Then next game I played was Valorant in Full-HD resolution and low setting. There was a V-Sync turn-off. I was getting an average FPS of 180. And you can see that I got a major boost in TDP due to the CPU intensity. I touched max TDP up to 35W. And the temperature is touching up to 96 degrees. I don’t know what were the issues here.
The temperature should not be raised as per thin and light laptops. But through the time I played the next game, the temperature became low. And here, 16GB RAM was getting a very good benefit. You can see that there was no throttling in the gameplay. And the RAM is also being used properly around 10-11GB. So, yeah, this is all about the Valorant in HP 15 laptop. And to play CH2, you also need a GPU. That’s why you are seeing it here. HP 15 comes with a 1.65 kg laptop. The laptop almost opens with one hand. The hinge is smooth like all other HP laptops. The tilt is maximum of 145 degrees.
HP Laptop 15 Intel Core Ultra 125 Review
That’s why you can see that the GPU was being used up to 95%. That means the integrated graphics. I got an average FPS of 50. And you can see that the temperature is low. It was not going more than 82-84. And overall, the gameplay in CH2 was good as well. And Intel’s ARC graphics are given here. So, I thought why not try playing the game in IDR2. I played it in balanced quality. The performance was pathetic.
I was not getting more than 20-25 FPS. You can understand this if you want to play heavy AAA titles. Like IDR2, Black Myth Wukong, Far Cry 6. Then, definitely, you need a dedicated GPU. At least RTX 2050. And the temperature was maintained around 70-75. So, it’s okay. The temperature automatically goes down through the time. So, this clears out that Intel’s ARC graphics is also for casual gaming. Not very high-intensity gaming. For all the AAA titles games.
Build quality and colour
This laptop is provided to me by A1 Electronics. Dakshin Gungur, Trishupela Vilai. So, if you are from Durga Vilai, Raipur or Chhattisgarh, then definitely visit there. There, you will get all the laptops of all the brands. And all the electronic items at a very cheap price. The address and contact number is given in the description below. Definitely, visit there. So, let’s see the build and design of HP 15. I reviewed an HP 15 8 months ago. The back panel is white with a polycarbonate build. There are air intake vents along with a 2W to 2W speaker. The palm rest area is also in natural silver color. PC AVS’s overall build quality is top-notch.
There is an Intel Core i5 sticker along with the Intel Arc Graphics sticker. The laptop comes with a very minimal and professional look like all other HP laptops. I checked the flex on this laptop. I got to see both the top-lit flex and the keyboard flex. So, it’s possible that the build is made of polycarbonate.
There is flexibility. Like all other thin and light laptops, you get to see exhaust vents below the display. Your laptop doesn’t get affected by the exhaust vents. I didn’t see any screen wobbling in HP 15. So, that’s great here. That laptop and this laptop’s design is the same. The laptop comes in natural silver color. PC AVS’s overall build quality is top-notch. You get to see HP’s shiny branding. There is an embossed grip along with the opening grip.

Evaluating the Redmi K90 Pro Max display performance in Canada’s winter daylight
The Redmi K90 Pro Max, known for its large 6.9-inch OLED display and a peak brightness reaching up to 3,500 nits, is built to handle various lighting environments. For Canadian users, the real challenge often comes during winter, when the sun is low, snow glare is intense, and the light can be both harsh and diffused. Assessing how the Redmi K90 Pro Max performs under these unique conditions helps reveal its true outdoor usability and whether it stands up to Canada’s long, bright, and cold winter days.
Winter in Canada brings lighting extremes unlike most other regions. On clear days, the sunlight reflects strongly off snow and ice, amplifying glare that can easily overpower standard smartphone displays. On cloudy days, the ambient light is often diffused yet still bright enough to challenge screen visibility. The Redmi K90 Pro Max’s OLED panel handles both of these scenarios impressively well. Its high brightness levels, paired with deep contrast and sharp color reproduction, make it easy to read messages, view maps, or edit photos even when surrounded by reflective snow. For those living in cities like Calgary or Toronto, where winter days can switch quickly from overcast to blindingly bright, the adaptive brightness feature automatically adjusts in real time, ensuring consistent readability without constant manual intervention.
The phone’s ability to reach 3,500 nits of peak brightness means it stays visible even in direct winter sunlight. Many smartphones struggle to maintain clarity in such conditions, but the Redmi K90 Pro Max manages to preserve both brightness and detail. The OLED technology ensures that blacks remain deep and colors remain vivid, even under full illumination. This proves especially useful for outdoor professionals, delivery drivers, and photographers who rely on their phones for navigation, scheduling, or previewing images during daylight hours. Whether checking directions on Google Maps or reading business emails while waiting at a train station, users can count on the display to remain legible and vibrant.
However, Canadian winters also bring another test: cold temperatures. When the thermometer dips below freezing, many smartphones experience slower screen response times and temporary dimming as internal components adapt. The Redmi K90 Pro Max’s thermal design helps mitigate this. Its internal temperature sensors monitor ambient conditions and adjust performance accordingly. In extremely cold environments, the phone may initially limit maximum brightness or slightly reduce refresh rate until it warms up, protecting the OLED panel from stress. Once the internal temperature stabilizes, full performance resumes. In most real-world use cases—such as taking the phone from a coat pocket to outdoor use—the delay is minimal and barely noticeable.
An often-overlooked aspect of winter usability is glare management. Snow and ice reflect light at multiple angles, which can cause discomfort or make screen content harder to see. The Redmi K90 Pro Max’s display surface features a mild anti-reflective coating, which helps reduce mirror-like reflections under direct sunlight. While no display can fully eliminate glare, the phone’s combination of high brightness and deep contrast counteracts it effectively. Even in bright winter conditions, users can comfortably browse, type, or watch videos without having to shield the screen with their hand.
Battery consumption does increase slightly when the display operates at maximum brightness in cold conditions. This is a common issue across smartphones, as the combination of low temperature and high power output puts extra strain on the battery. In tests simulating Canadian outdoor conditions, users would likely notice a faster battery drain when keeping brightness near its upper limit. Still, the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s massive 7,560 mAh battery offsets this concern. Even during prolonged outdoor use, it can sustain several hours of screen-on time before needing a recharge, which is crucial for those who work or travel extensively during winter days.
Transitioning between outdoor and indoor environments is another area where the K90 Pro Max performs well. Its automatic brightness sensor quickly adapts when users move from blinding outdoor light to dimmer indoor spaces. This smooth adjustment helps prevent the eye strain that can occur when a screen remains overly bright indoors. The OLED’s ability to dim down to as low as 1 nit also means that nighttime or low-light use remains comfortable, maintaining visibility without harsh glare.
In terms of usability, the phone’s size may require two-handed operation for those wearing gloves, but the large display ensures that text and icons remain easy to read. This is particularly helpful for users navigating on foot in busy winter streets or checking notifications while wearing outerwear. The touch sensitivity remains responsive even at lower temperatures, though using capacitive-friendly gloves ensures consistent interaction.
Overall, the Redmi K90 Pro Max demonstrates excellent adaptability to Canadian winter daylight conditions. Its combination of ultra-high brightness, OLED contrast, and thermal stability ensures reliable visibility even in the toughest lighting environments. While users should expect slightly higher power consumption when operating at full brightness outdoors, the trade-off is worthwhile for its clear, vivid display performance.
For Canadians who spend much of their winter days outdoors—whether commuting, traveling, or simply enjoying seasonal activities—the Redmi K90 Pro Max stands out as one of the few smartphones that can handle both the brightness and the cold. It delivers a consistent visual experience, maintaining clarity, color accuracy, and responsiveness across all typical winter conditions. In short, the device proves not only powerful in specs but also practical for real-world Canadian winters, where sunlight and snow combine to test every display’s limits.
