Nothing’s Ambitious Plans for 2027

Nothing has responded to reports of potential closures by announcing plans to launch more phones in 2027 than ever before. The company’s co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, revealed that Nothing will launch twice as many phones in 2027 as it has in 2026, which would mean six new phones, including potentially the first Nothing foldable.

The company has already launched the Nothing Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro, and Phone (4b) this year, which have sold well in the Indian market. Nothing won’t release any more phones in 2026, but is expected to launch its first smartwatch, as well as Nothing Headphones (Gen 2) and CMF-branded speakers. The wearable is rumoured to be under $300, come with Nothing’s design language, and launch in September in limited markets, potentially at IFA 2026 in Berlin.

The company’s budget sub-brand, CMF, has also unveiled a new ear clip product called the CMF Clip Pro. However, the launch has been criticised for using an AI-generated image, which was not clearly labelled as such. Response to Criticism

Akis Evangelidis responded to the criticism by calling it ‘Damn super cringe’. However, this response has been seen as inadvisable, given the company’s own use of AI-generated images.
