Hello friends, today we are going to do a comparison between Apple’s iPad A16 and Samsung Tab S10 FE. Both of these are note taking tablets that come with 11 inch screen size and after the offer their pricing becomes quite similar. While iPad is known for its powerful A16 chip, Samsung’s S Pen and Samsung Note app are the best available in the market.
S pen feature benefit tablet
If you do not get a stylus pen with iPad, then you will have to buy it separately. And Apple’s note taking app is also not that good. So you will have to spend money on a good note taking app as well. I have bought Spigen’s DA13 stylus pen which is ₹1800 and I use Colla Note app to write notes which I had purchased. And with Samsung S10 FE, S Pen is available in the box itself and Samsung’s note taking app is also very good.
There is no need to spend separately for these things. But if you do not get a charger with the S10 FE, then you will have to spend extra for it. In the box of S10 FE, apart from the tablet, you get S Pen, ejector pin, a user manual and USB C charging cable. Whereas in the box of iPad A16, apart from the iPad, there is a 20 watt fast charger and a USB C charging cable along with some documents. The iPad A16 has a power button with Touch ID sensor along with speaker grills at the top and the Samsung S10 FE has a micro SSD card slot, a microphone and a speaker slot on the top edge.
Design and look wise who is better
If we talk about the design and physical overview, then on the front side you get a 10.9 inch display in both the tablets. Here in S10 FE, you will see a 12 megapixel camera. Whereas the iPad has a 12 megapixel front camera and a microphone along with it. There is a three pin connector on the left edge of both. To connect the official keyboard. On the right edge, iPad A16 has only two volume buttons. Whereas in S10 FE, here you will see a power button with integrated fingerprint sensor, volume buttons and two microphones. The stylus can also be attached magnetically on the right edge of both the tablets.
At the bottom, the S10 FE has a USB C port along with a second speaker slot. And the iPad A16 has a USB C port and two speaker grills. On the back of the iPad A16, you will see the Apple logo along with a rear camera and a microphone and the S10 FE also has a rear camera and microphone along with Samsung branding.
Proccesor and performance specification
Both the tablets are made entirely of metal and glass and both feel quite premium. The iPad has a thickness of 7 mm and weighs less than 500 grams. The S10 FE has a thickness of 6 mm and weighs 500 grams. The 6 mm thickness of the S10 FE makes this tablet feel quite unreal in the hands and this adds to its premium feel. And another plus point of S10 FE is that it gets IP68 rating. So the chances of this tablet getting damaged by water are greatly reduced. If we talk about specifications, S10FE has a combination of 8GB RAM with Samsung’s XNOS 1580 processor.
IPad A16 has 6 GB RAM with Apple’s A16 chip. In the benchmark scores, you can see that the performance of iPad A16 is twice that of S10FE. Basic tasks like UI navigation, web browsing and note taking feel smooth in S10 FE due to 90 Hz. But as soon as you try to do heavy tasks like gaming or video editing, you will appreciate the A16 chip of iPad. Accuracy in audio editing is very low. Every time there is a little lag while applying effects and transitions and the timeline also does not scroll smoothly.

In BGMI, iPad runs smooth even on Ultra HDR graphics and Ultra frame rate. But Samsung S10 FE has maximum support for HD graphics and high frame rate and even in this it lags a lot. Personally, it is very important for me to be able to do video editing on a tablet and hence. I edited 4K videos on both these tablets. Editing 4K videos on iPad A16 was a very smooth experience. I did not face any lag in applying any effect transition or overlay text. And timeline scrolling can also be done in real time. On the other hand, editing 4K videos on S10 FE is a bit frustrating experience.
Display quality and smoothness compare
Talking about the display, both the tablets have a 10.9-inch display and their pixel density is also quite similar. The squarish display of iPad A16 is more suitable for web browsing. Whereas watching movies on the wide screen of S10 FE becomes a very enjoyable experience. The display of S10 FE is brighter than iPad. After enduring so much frustration, I completed the editing but after exporting there was distortion in the audio which did not go away even after changing many settings. So after this experience, in comparison of processing power, iPad A16 is clearly a winner and S10 FE cannot match the processing capacity of iPad A16. So the S10 FE’s display is clearly better than the iPad.
Along with this, you also get HDR support on YouTube which is not available in iPad. By the way, the picture quality of both the tablets is very good and if you use any of the two tablets individually. Then you will never feel that there is any lack in their brightness or picture quality And the color depth of S10 FE is definitely more than iPad and the colors in it look much more vibrant and brighter than iPad.
