iPad 11 vs Galaxy Tab S9 FE plus

Two amazing tablets, but which one is the ultimate choice? The Samsung Galaxy Tab S90 Plus or the new iPad 11. And if you’re trying to choose between the two tablets. So don’t miss this artical as today we are breaking everything down from its design, performance, and gaming and even the stylus experience. I will be scoring them in each category.

Design and look of iPad 11 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE plus

Starting with the design, the iPad 11 plays it extremely safe. Apple has gone with the exact same design as they have used for a couple of years now. An all aluminum body with flat edges and the Touch ID on the power button. It’s lightweight, minimal, and very Appleike. But if you are hoping for something new visually, then this one might feel a bit stale, especially if you’re coming from an older iPad model.

I must say it still feels premium and easy to carry around. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S90 Plus takes things a notch higher. First off, the build is solid. It’s made of aluminium as well, but comes with an IP68 rating, which means it’s more rugged and ready for outdoor usage. We also get a micro SD card slot here. That’s a very added bonus and also a magnetic slot at the back for the SPEN.

Samsung includes the SPEN right out of the box, which is a huge win for budget conscious users. We will be talking about the S Pen a little bit later. But for this segment, I would like to give a point each to both the tablets for their design that is as this one will always come down to your personal taste.

Display of both models

Move on to what probably matters the most in a tablet, and that is the display. The iPad 11 features an 11 in liquid retina IPS display with a resolution of 1640 by 2360 pixels. The display is sharp, vibrant, and works really well for binge watching. During my flights, I watched quite a bit of Netflix. And honestly, the viewing experience was excellent.

It still has a display refresh rate of 60 Hz, which really makes me sad to be very honest. In contrast, the Galaxy Tab S9 F Plus brings a 12.4 4 in LCD panel with a resolution of 1,600 by 2560 pixels. It’s slightly bigger and has a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This makes animations and scrolling feel noticeably smoother, Of course, it’s not AMOLED like Samsung’s higherend tablets, but at this price, it’s a great display. Colorful, sharp, and perfect for watching Netflix or YouTube. But overall, whichever tablet you pick, you are going to have a great experience binge watching your favorite content. The iPad 11 features stereo speakers and they are quite decent.

It’s also a lot brighter when compared with the iPad 11. The 90 Hz refresh rate makes a difference in day-to-day usage, especially if you’re someone who hates laggy UI interactions. So for the display segment, the Galaxy Tab S9 F+ Plus takes a point this round hands down. The smoother display with 90 Hz refresh rate makes the difference over here.

You get good clarity and loudness and it’s totally fine for watching videos or casual gaming. The sound has that warmth that I often look for. The Galaxy Tab S9 F+ on the other hand comes with AKG tuned stereo speakers that also support Dolby Atmos. These are actually pretty immersive. It’s clear with decent bass and a wider sound stage. Whether I was watching a movie or listening to music, the sound felt much more immersive and enjoyable. Also, it’s louder among the two tablets with rich audio experience.

Ram and other freatures diffrents

One point goes to the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus. No surprises here as Samsung nails audio on tablets every time. Also, we are super close to hitting 100K subs on this channel. So, I would really appreciate if you could consider hitting that subscribe button. Now, let’s get into the business end of the two tablets. When it comes to the performance, this is where the iPad 11 finally shows its strength. It comes with the A16 Bionic chipset paired with 6 gigs of RAM, and this thing is really powerful. Everything from launching apps to editing videos feels snappy. Multitasking is buttery smooth.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus features Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chipset paired with 6, 8, or 12 gigs of RAM, depending on which variant you get. Now, it’s definitely not on par with Apple’s A16 in terms of raw performance, but in my case, it handled day-to-day tasks quite fine. It’s not built for heavy lifting, but for most users, it will get the job done without any complaint.

Performance wise compare who is winner

Here are the benchmark scores on Geekbench of both the tablets. And as you can see, the iPad 11 simply performs a lot better. If you wanted to edit videos on either of the two tablets, they both can handle basic 1080 projects with ease. But both the tablets will start to struggle the moment we switch to 4K videos. Overall, this round clearly goes to the iPad 11. The 16 Bionic chipset is much more powerful and also future proof. Also, the Galaxy S10 FE is around the corner. I will surely make an updated video when I get my hands onto that tablet.

Software performance of both

Talking about the software, it basically comes down to your personal preference here. The iPad 11 runs on iPad OS 18. It’s clean, fluid, and optimized beautifully. The Dab S950 Plus runs on 1 UI which is a skinned version of Android 14 and Samsung’s 1 UI has really matured over the years. It’s a much more polished app ecosystem. You get access to tons of apps that are only available on the iPad OS and not on Android tablets. Procreate apps like Final Cut Pro, Darin Resolve, Procreate, and a few more are only available on the iPad.
