Google Pixel 11: What to Expect
The Google Pixel 11 series is set to launch on 12 August 2026, and with it, a range of exciting new features and improvements. The new Tensor G6 chip is expected to provide a significant boost to CPU performance, although the GPU may not see the same level of improvement. The Pixel 11 series will also feature a new design, with a smaller bezel and an all-glass camera bar, as well as a range of new colour options, including Fuchsia, Moss, and Midnight.
In terms of cameras, the Pixel 11 series is expected to feature a next-generation telephoto lens with up to 100x zoom, as well as improved video recording capabilities, including a new Cinematic Blur mode and Ultra Low Light Video mode. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL will also feature a new 50Mp main lens, while the standard Pixel 11 will have a different 50Mp main lens.
Pixel Glow and Other Features
The Pixel 11 series will also feature a new feature called Pixel Glow, which uses subtle light and colour on the back of the device to inform users of important activity. This feature is similar to the Glyph lights found on the Nothing Phone (1), but with a more subtle design. The Pixel 11 series will also feature improved battery life, with the possibility of removable batteries, as well as faster charging speeds and improved wireless charging capabilities, similar to those found on the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Apple iPhone 18.
In terms of software, the Pixel 11 series will run on Android 17, which includes a range of new features and improvements, such as the ‘Speak-to-Tweak’ feature, which allows users to make voice-based adjustments to their photos, and ‘Sketch-to-Image’, which converts rough sketches into detailed images. The Pixel 11 series will also feature a range of always-on health monitoring tools, including sleep apnea detection, snoring and cough detection, and fall detection, making it a powerful device for health-conscious users, similar to the Apple Watch Series 10 and Fitbit Charge 5.
