Leaks around the Xiaomi 15S Pro have given us a glimpse of a major shift in strategy. For the first time ever, Xiaomi is preparing to launch a flagship powered by its own in house processor.
Known as the Xring O1, this new chipset is based on a 3nm fabrication process and is expected to rival some of the most powerful processors in the market today. The leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 15S Pro will move away from traditional Qualcomm or MediaTek chipsets in favor of full in house control.

The leaked information points toward a dual Cortex X925 setup at the heart of the Xring O1 processor. This could bring unmatched performance in speed and thermal efficiency. Leaks also confirm that the phone will feature a 6.73 inch 2K LTPO OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 3200 nits peak brightness.

Leica Cameras and UWB Technology May Be Included
Leaked packaging photos and camera samples confirm that Xiaomi is sticking with its Leica camera partnership for the 15S Pro. The triple rear camera setup is expected to include a 50 MP main lens with f1.4 aperture, a 50 MP periscope sensor with 5x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultra wide lens.
Another important leak is the inclusion of UWB or Ultra Wideband support, a rare feature that enhances device tracking and connectivity between smart products. If true, this would give the phone new capabilities beyond standard Android features.
Battery and Charging Details
The battery capacity is expected to remain similar to previous models, with a 6100mAh cell inside. The phone may support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, both of which are among the fastest available in the market. These leaks indicate Xiaomi is not compromising on speed or endurance with this release.
Possible Launch Timeline Based on Leaks
According to insiders and deleted posts from Xiaomi staff, the 15S Pro could be unveiled by late May. The appearance of sample shots and retail box leaks suggest that the phone has already reached the final testing stage. While official pricing has not yet leaked, early estimates suggest the base variant of the Xiaomi 15S Pro could be priced around $767. This would make it a high value flagship considering it brings a custom processor, Leica optics, high refresh display, and ultra fast charging. The leak trail hints at Xiaomi’s attempt to redefine what a premium phone can be without crossing the $1000 mark.
