Google Pixel 11 Leaked
Google Pixel 11: What to Expect
The upcoming Google Pixel 11 range is set to be unveiled at the Made by Google launch event on 12 August, with pre-orders going live on the same day. The latest teaser from Google has confirmed the name of the new model and given us a glimpse of what’s to come. The phone will be available in a shiny gold colour, which appears to be this year’s hero colour, following on from the Moonstone colour of the Pixel 10 Pro models.
The teaser image shows the phone’s back, which doesn’t match up with any of the leaked colours, unless the image is not revealing the full design just yet. However, it does look similar to the Dune colour, which has a gold frame and an orangey/pink coral type of shade for the rear panel. The rest of the landing page has a sunset sandy tone, which suggests that the gold and black colour scheme could be a possibility.
Pixel Glow: A New Feature
The teaser also confirms that the Pixel 11 range will introduce an all-new feature called Pixel Glow, which is housed within the camera flash. This feature uses subtle light and colour on the back of the device to inform users of important activity when the phone is face down. It’s speculated that users may be able to set different colours for their favourite contacts, so they know who’s calling.
Pixel Glow is also expected to light up when using Gemini, similar to the ring light around the base of the new Google Home Speaker. The feature can show a range of colours and has a similar design to the Apple Mac ‘beach ball of death’ when in motion. We’ll have to wait until 12 August to find out exactly what it can do.
In comparison to other smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Apple iPhone 17, the Google Pixel 11 range is expected to have a similar design and specs. However, the Pixel Glow feature is set to be a key differentiator, making it a compelling upgrade for those with a Pixel 10. The iPad Air M2 and the Apple Watch Series 10 may also be of interest to those looking for a new tablet or smartwatch to pair with their Pixel 11.
