Unlock the Full Potential of Your Samsung Galaxy Phone
Samsung has been making excellent smartphones for years, but the full potential of One UI isn’t necessarily found in the system settings. Instead, it can be found in an app that many Galaxy phone owners never install: Good Lock. Good Lock is an official Samsung service that acts as a hub for a collection of add-on modules, each delving deep into a specific area of One UI, such as the lock screen, navigation, camera, notifications, and multitasking.
Good Lock is completely free, developed directly by Samsung, and is therefore just as secure as One UI itself. The app is available for every Samsung Galaxy phone running One UI 6 or later, including the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Ultra, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5. It can be downloaded from the Samsung Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store.
Modules and Features
Some of the notable modules available for Good Lock include Theme Park, which allows users to create their own custom themes; One-Handed Operation, which provides six configurable Edge gestures for easier one-handed use; and LockStar, which unlocks more customisation options for the lock screen. Other modules include MultiStar, which expands multitasking capabilities, and RegiStar, which allows users to remap the side button and reorganise the One UI settings menu.
Camera Assistant is another useful module, which unlocks hidden camera features such as focus peaking in Pro mode, interval burst mode, and automatic lens selection. NotiStar provides a complete notification history and allows users to filter notifications based on specific keywords. Other recommended modules include Home Up, Keys Cafe, QuickStar, Routines, Wonderland, ClockFace, Game Booster, Pentastic, and Nice Catch.
Getting Started with Good Lock
To get started with Good Lock, simply open the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store on your Samsung device, search for “Good Lock”, and install the app. Once installed, you can select the modules you want to use and download them directly from within the app. It’s recommended to start with two or three modules that meet your specific needs, rather than installing all of them at once.
