AMD Ryzen Overclocking Comes to Linux

AMD Ryzen Overclocking Driver for Linux

AMD has submitted Linux kernel patches for an official Ryzen overclocking driver, which could pave the way for more comprehensive Ryzen tuning tools on Linux, similar to those available for the Intel Core i9 processor or the Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone.

The initial version of the driver offers basic controls for CPU power limits and SMT, but it is expected to be improved in future updates, allowing for better performance and efficiency, much like the Apple Watch Series 10 or the iPad Air M2.
